This property was perfect for our family, we used it as a base to travel to the Highlands and climb Ben Nevis. Very quiet place, which suited us. Our host went above and beyond for us, we appreciated everything she did for us. While this was our 1st trip to Scotland, we will "Haste ye back"

Little Ireland is a gem of a property, a great find for us and our 2 dogs who were also right at home here. The house is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean (we would easily have believed we were the first people to have stayed due to the high standard of maintenance). The lovely hosts really have thought of everything, providing all we needed for a fabulous stay. They were also so helpful and when we messaged with a query they replied with an answer straight away. There was so much space for us all and we had a fabulous time (also really enjoyed a lovely meal in Papa Rab's!) Thank you for a great stay, we wouldn't hesitate to book again!

the house is amazing and in a great location. all bedrooms are huge, clean, tidy and modern. The common areas are lovely and comfortable and have everything you need. The accommodation was more than I expected for the price I paid. absolute hidden gem. we stayed as a family for a reunion and everyone loved the accommodation.

Stayed in large detached accommodation called Windy Ridge close to the hotel. Large room with good quality bed and pillows, spacious bathroom/wet room, daily room service with biscuit packets and tea/coffee replenished, quiet throughout my 6 day stay. Breakfast in the main hotel was consistently excellent, porridge among the best I have tasted, range of cooked breakfast options with friendly waitress service in a very relaxing environment with sea view.

Couldn't fault the stay at Coyles Retreat. Agnes went above and beyond with the service she provided on arrival to the accommodation. The place was spotless and came with all the facilities you could need. I will definitely be back, and I would recommend everyone to go there for a stay. Thanks again Jodi

I’d stayed previously under previous owners and found the hotel the best option for a stay in Stranraer. Although somewhat dated, the accommodation was clean. Food and drink was good with the odd exception.

This is the third time we have stayed as a family at the Windsor House. The accommodation is excellent and we were given the family room at the top floor as per the previous two stays. The key lock approach suits us as we normally arrive a bit later in the evening as we use the hotel as an overnight stay prior to getting a ferry in the morning. The room is always very clean and spacious for a family of four.

The room was spacious, delightful, bed was amazing slept like a log, had a brilliant jacuzzi bath & the view was outstanding. Wishes we were staying longer. Go back there for sure & the price should be a lot more. Thanks for a great start to our holiday.

Breakfast was well prepared, tasty & great value. Room & en-suite had everything we required & accommodations was well organised. Hosts - Colin & Norma were friendly, informative but also discreet in their manner. It was a pleasure to spend the one night there on our way to a wedding near Dublin. It was an ideal location under 10 minutes away from ferry port. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to the area & would stay again if going back to Ireland.

Wonderful vacation and a wonderful place to stay. Very quiet but not far from town Stranraer if you need something. Very clean and there was everything you need. Cozy accommodation lets you feel at home. Friendly and helpful hosts Viv and her husband. We manage to visit many places, including castle ruins, I recommend this place to everyone, especially those who like the quiet place to stay and outdoor activities and explore Scotland, etc. Historical places, beaches, seaside towns, and villages.
