Albert and his daughter Mary were so so lovely to stay with. The place was lovely and clean, basic but all you need when you are in the park all day. Albert even put my things out to dry when it was sunny and I was inside the park! It’s only a 10 min walk from the airport and 3 minute ish walk to the park itself, so perfectly located. You can easily have breakfast and dinners there which are perfectly adequate :)

The location of the accommodation is directly in the national park and the bungalows are amazingly located in the rainforest. Our bungalow exceeded our expectations and was a lot bigger and luxurious than we thought by the pictures. Staff were extremely friendly and we also loved the breakfast and food options in the restaurant! If you go to Mulu National Park, this is for sure the best accommodation as you can directly start your hike out of your room.

Well organised house tucked away by Melinau river which renders a nature stream for swimming and dipping (though I did not jump in). The stay is just right opposite the airport, so I did not need to rush for departure at all. Having said that, a short 15min walk is needed towards the national park entrance. I enjoyed the scenic views of the jutting mountains and birds watching along the walk most.
Spacious room has the basic furnitures including a long table and bedside table convenient for me to place my stuff in good order as well as the ceiling fan to cool off the heat. Bathroom is very clean with good shower. Despite without heater, the humidity of Mulu will ensure that is not essential.
I did not need to worry about my meals as Salina's home cooking will always keep stomach pampered from breakfast to dinner. Free refill drinking water and coffee/tea. Tried out the home-made tuak and I loved it.
I would never forget the warm hospitality by the couple owners. We had good chats.

Dina and her husband are very kind and will welcome you very well! Only 7min walking from the entrance of the park, the homestay is well located and you could enjoy the park. You could meet many people and the room is very clean.
I suggest to do a local tour organized by Dina with a local guide to visit a village and a waterfall, it's very interesting and nice hiking.

Each cave is different from another and rides to get to them on the long boats added interest and anticipation of what we would find. The Park is very organised with some guides offering more information than others. We are in our 60s, and were able to cover 3 cave excursions in the one and a half days we were there...unforgettable!

Great place to come for a jungle / caving experience.
Great place to come for a jungle / caving experience. Only requires basic fitness and moderate mobility to visit most of the show features. More strenuous/ adventurous options also exist for those who are interested/ daring!

river boat ride to the amazing caves. dont miss the bat flight. lots of walking in the mulu national park. office staff, guides are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. mulu has only 300 houses. there is no town. so the only attraction is the mulu national park, mariott hotel and homestays, cafes ( which are opened occasionally) if you want adventure, time with nature , quiet, astounding sites of caves and sheer size...come to Mulu. oh yes attractive pricing
