Helmi and his wife and family are so nice. there's even a tofu restaurant small business in the front of the homestay, very cute. it's on the beach which is great, easy to rent snorkel gear (about 50k/day) and a motorbike (also about 100k/day). right next door to Blueshark diving, Dion and Jeffrey and the crew here are awesome. The snorkeling is also nice right at the reef at the property, just swim like 50-100m out (takes 5 mins). Amazing sunsets. Room is simple. A bit hot in the mornings. There's free coffee/water/tea. Bathroom is simple, just 1 bathroom shared with 3 rooms. i hope to stay again!

It features a private beach area and a restaurant. Amazingly quiet and tucked away in the heart of the most bio-active lagoons that I'd ever had the privilege of visiting. We thoroughly enjoyed the dives with Jimmy, our guide, and the incredible snorkeling that was just 150m away (no current and totally swim-able). Spacious, clean villas. The common area was homely yet it boasts picturesque views to the lagoon and a small mangrove outcrop. Food's great, we were treated to local dishes, usually a fish + veggie + fruit platter for lunch & dinner, while there's a good set of options for breakfast (pancakes; toast; nasi goreng; mee goreng). One thing I truly appreciated was how easy it was to communicate with the hosts, who arranged our dives and transfers professionally and patiently. Everything was a breeze.

The rooms have recently been refurbished, the hot water hot and everything is spotless. The view over the busy but picturesque Strait is fantastic. Having lived in Indonesia 25 years ago I can honestly say that the food is a good as any home cooked food anywhere with great variation. Sign up for the full catered option. The other house staff are equally helpful and will happily run an errand to pick up supplies as the place is a tad isolated- even they don’t ask or expect don’t forget to tip. While in the area we did some Muck snorkelling with Ibu Feronika from Rumah Selam who operate near bye-it was awesome. Feronika can also help with highland and nature park tours, plus transport to and from Manado. Can highly recommend.

I had some amazing dives, and the professional instructors made the experience even better. I also enjoyed making friends and having fun conversations with other guests at the bar. To top it off, the food at the restaurant was amazing. Both the local and international options were very delicious. Can't wait to come back!

Communication is through translator app and the neighbours,but it works well!
