This pub is a cracker and Simon and his team are fantastic. Ideally situated a short walk into the city centre, the range of draft beers, the pub food, the ambiance and the helpfulness of the team are all exceptional and the included breakfast was excellent I doubt we were the easiest group he has ever accommodated but Simon always answered with a smile and made every effort to deal with the requests and ensured that everyone was happy. everyone in our party of 8 said that they would definitely book again if in York

The room was very lovely, big, clean and tidy, beautiful even I felt like I was living in one of those novels of Jane Austen, the bathroom was perfect and the bathtub definitely a plus after walking all day long, so peaceful and even I got to see the part of the minster towers from my window.

This hotel it's so good! Very beautiful building with so much history, room so cozy, very clean, and with interesting furniture, that gives a different touch to the ambience. Lovely staff as well!
