my girlfriend and I spent two nights here last week. We were on a low budget exploration of Ireland. It was easy to reach by bus 980 from Dublin. From the main bus stop in the twon you walk only 12 minutes. So we could enjoy our drinks in town and later walked "home". The taxi was quite cheap but we opted to walk into town. The place is clean and you get breakfast. Pascall, the gentleman who served us is a cool mature man who is particular about healthy foods. For instance, he has low fat and low sugar food for breakfast. We quite enjoyed the home made scones, the calm environment and peaceful home-like hospitality and facilities. This is a to go place when in Carrickmacross and nearby towns like Ardee, Dundalk, etc. We are planning to make is our regular weekend or holiday place.

We stayed in the family room (room 4) with 4 adults and we had plenty of space. A light breakfast was provided the next morning consisting of coffee, tea, cereal, fruit, and toast. Kathleen was truly amazing and so accommodating. I would recommend this B&B.

Food was excellent. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast with plenty of cereals, toast /breads and cakes and of course tea. Lovely warm welcome, felt at home straight away. Bed, room and en-suite all clean, warm and very comfortable. The house is truly a credit to Rosemary. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

There is so much to love about this gorgeous place. Geraldine and her family went above and beyond to make our stay so special. The room was absolutely magnificent and the Kitchen/dining area was beautiful. We were served a most delicious farm to table breakfast. We cannot recommend this home away from home more. it has a homey atmosphere, well laid out. the beds are comfortable and our room has its own bathroom, all spotless. there is a common room if you wish to relax and after a fantastic Irish breakfast. the owners are very approachable and extremely friendly.

We got the room at the very top of the house and it was comfortable and had a window for natural light, a tv with Netflix for the kids, and a coffee station for morning. Breakfast was good and the staff was very accommodating.
