As a perk, the owner offered a free and very varied breakfast. There was also a dry climate garden with labeled plants and their country of origin. Very much enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay there again.

At Las Olas you can choose between studios and rooms. Each one comes with a flat-screen TV, and many have sea views. The studios also feature a kitchenette with a washing machine. The rooms with sea view do not have a kitchen, but include a fridge. Everything was good! We had the studio facing the town/beach and it was perfect. It is not in the centre but at 5 mins walking. Be aware that there are stairs to reach the flat entrance, but nothing impossible.

The Hostal El Dorado is in a quiet area at the foot of the mountains. San José is set within the beautiful Cabo de Gata Natural Park, in the province of Almería. Almería Airport is only 25 kilometres away. ​ We loved that the room had a terrace offering a spectacular sea view. The bed was so comfortable, ensuring we had a fantastic night's sleep. A great detail was the small, quiet fridge. Although we didn't get a chance to use it, the hostel also had a nice pool. The room was tidy and the location was perfect: it was quiet, not far from the main street, and its position on the hill provided a beautiful panoramic view.
