One small note: rooms on the higher floors might be a challenge for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues, as the stairs are quite steep.

The food and drink were great and we had a great time plus we got a discount as guest of the Couch House. We visited Edinburgh from Uphall railway station to Waverly paying GBP 14 for 2 round-trip tickets. The Couch House itself and the surroundings are one of a kind.
