All of the rooms at Kasbah El Hajja are decorated in traditional, Berber style. Each room features a private bathroom with a shower. The property solely relies on solar energy for lighting. It is one of the very few, if not the only, places to stay within the ancient town (most tourists stay across the river). The staff indicated where to park our car (were charged 20 dirhams for the night by the owner), and we got help from the parking lot owner to carry our bags across the river to the town on a donkey (another 20 dirhams). The staff were very friendly, showed us around when we arrived and the breakfast was delicious. The room was marvelous, small and tight which is to expect and is actually beautiful since your staying in a place that is centuries old! It was still very comfortable and we loved it. We had a little terrace where you could see the rest of the town and the river. There's little to no electricity at night, which makes the experience more enchanting (the rooms and hotel have lights everywhere).

It was an amazing stay. The structure is simple but gorgeous, with a nice internal garden with vegetables and fruits. The hosts are a group of young, local people with an amazing project: sharing local culture and transmitting local values. This has made our stay warm and authentic. They prepared for us an amazing dinner, cooked on the spot, with fresh vegetables picked from the garden. We enjoyed the dinner in front of the fireplace. It was incredible. We highly recommend and encourage this authentic experience!

We were having discussion about Moroccan food and from this conversation he cooked us an egg and tomato tagine for breakfast on our last day. Exceptionally clean and relaxed place. I would 100% recommend this place and return if I ever came back to Ouarzazate.

Beautiful new place. Outside of town, next to the highway but still nice and quiet. The host on duty during our stay, Noureddine, was truly amazing. A very friendly and generous young man. Extremely helpful and kind. The whole setting is great -- a very well designed place. A true oasis. Excellent dinner and breakfast. And a very comfortable bed with great sheets.

The staff were amazing, especially Omar. They were very patient with my poor french skills as they did not speak English well. However, it was no problem as everyone was so welcoming and friendly! The garden and property were so beautiful. One of the best places I stayed in morocco and would have stayed longer if i didn't have a schedule. Definitely stay here if you are in Zagora!
