Claudio gave us a wonderful welcome. We were thrilled with our room, which was better appointed and more comfortable than any we’d experienced thus far on our trip. The included breakfast was beautifully prepared, and way too much for us to eat—our second morning, we asked for a reduced version. Our original plan had been to stay just one night, but we extended it to two because it was such a great place to take a rest from the road—and such good value for money. Elsewhere on our trip, we’d paid more than that for far less attractive and comfortable lodgings. Just a block away is the large and lovely Albert Park, where we enjoyed several walks.

Staff over the phone had excellent customer service, and upon arrival greeted by staff who couldn't have been more helpful, offered to take my bags to the room, showed me the way and explained everything I needed to know about my stay. Great location 7/8 minutes walk into the town centre, buses running often there as well with a bus stop on the doorstep. Convenience shop, pub, Greg's, and restaurants are also seconds from the property, with free onsite parking. The property was an unbelievable value for money, very clean, and excellent WiiFi. The extras in the property I was especially shocked at, absolutely everything you could need for your stay. I went and bought a few items, that I have never been provided with and I'm a frequent Hotel/B&B user due to travelling for work. All toiletries, tea, coffee, sugar, powder milk (fine for me). All cleaning products flash sprays, bleach etc., black bags cling film, tinfoil, laundry tablets, dish cloths, tea towels. All the cutlery you would ever need looked brand new. Overall a very good experience. I will be recommending and returning my self in the future

The restaurant is lovely the rooms as okay they could do with some upgrades definitely need new bathrooms but it’s perfectly adequate for a short stay and small budget. The staff are lovely. The location is strange off a main road but wasn’t an issue for us.

Loved The Cross Keys. Beautiful place in spperb location. Couldn't have been happier with facilities. Very clean and all public rooms so beautifully decorated- loved all the little touches of fresh flowers; cosy lamps; candles etc. Every staff member so nice and helpful. Will definitely stay there again. Superb breakfast choice! The bar area had a very relaxing nice feel to it too. Their was only 2 minor points that felt I had to give a 8 instead of 10 rating.
