La FInca Lodge is a perfect place to calm down and relax on the countryside. The rooms are huge and have a big bathroom and a nice hammock to forget about your everyday life. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly and had many recommendations for activities in the area. Breakfast was delicious and served on a nice outdoor terrace. The property of the finca itself is huge, there is a lot to explore. A highlight outside the finca were the blue falls, which were recommended to us by one of the staff members.

This was probably my favorite part of Costa Rica Trip! It was so surreal to spend some time disconnected and surrounded by such beautiful nature. Loved all the trails, but sandaderos in bosque la tigra was my favorite. It’s a primary and secondary rainforest property they have nearby and you can visit it for a small fee. I saw there more wildlife by myself than in any other forests walking with a guide. I did a night tour and we walked around the property, not even rainforest further out, and saw 3 snakes within the first 5minutes, so many frogs and other insects, and the guide was very knowledgable. I also planted a tree there and it was a really beautiful experience of giving back to the nature and community. Overall service is 10/10, always with a smile, always asking a question or two. No connection at all anywhere except the reception, but wifi there is stronger than in most coworkings I have visited here in Costa Rica. The only thing that was challenging for me personally and I have not seen it mentioned in the comments is if you sometimes get car sick, a road to the property will make you car sick, so please have some medicine handy. But it’s the entire area around that is like this, so just accepting it as part of adventure. I recommend staying for 2-3 nights and spending it in the lodge area enjoying the nature, the best disconnection and reconnection with the self “retreat” 🤭

The views were fantastic, Arenal volcano is intimidating ( as it is very close to the resort) but mesmerising. The bird life is abundant and the Coatis walk around ignoring people just doing their own things (which is as it should be) The breakfast was fantastic. The road to the resort is a dirt road and could be rough. there are no lights at night ,hence be careful when venturing out at night.However if you have a good car and consider the road conditions it can be easily done with an SUV or a constant 4WD. I will recommend a big car but not necessarily 4x4. As the resort is very isolated the only place to have dinner is the restaurant which was expensive. However with a good car you can venture into the small local towns an have a multitude of choices.( alway ask the staff about eating choices you will get good information from them ).Hence that is one of the reasons I will recommend an SUV. As the resort is so vast you could stay there without going anywhere else and honestly say you know Cost Rica. The waterfall within the property was breathtaking, you get to it via a beautiful walk via the forest. There are 2 suspending bridges, lots of well marked walks and the births are. amazing.

I could spend the time with wonderful nature and creatures. I really enjoyed watching many kinds of birds and frogs day and night. We can trail around the lodge. It was amazing. Host is very kind and friendly to me and she gave me detailed directions to the lodge. And she cooked tasty dinner I really recommend to stay this lodge.

This place was absolutely wonderful! My fiancee booked a week here in one of the casitas and it was our first time in Costa Rica. It lived up to all of our expectations and we were hugely pleased with our stay. The staff was absolutely lovely and very accommodating when we thought we were going to have a late check-in. We loved the fact that it was a working farm and had some lovely walks around the property including the Cabalonga trail, spotting sloths by the pool, and having leisurely breakfasts watching the birds. The location is also nicely situated, tucked away in the jungle giving a remote feel, while also being a short drive from La Fortuna. We would absolutely go back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a jungle lodge stay that doesn't feel touristy or like a resort.

Hotel is on a quiet street but was close to restaurants and shops. This made walking around easy and had many options for dining. Breakfast options were nice but seeing the different types of birds and animals with breakfast made it more special. Reception was accommodating and informative. They have a board outside the reception area with their recommendations in the area as well as laundry service. I found this extremely helpful since I couldn't remember everything they said at check in.

In the middle of the rainforest, rooms are spacious and clean (which for being in the nature is really appreciated). Staff is amazing, as it’s the restaurant where you can have breakfast and dinner. Super quiet area, no noise and great sleeps. The lodge has its own trails, and with a guide you can walk them at night to see wildlife

Great base to explore the area of the Arenal volcano. The wooden cabins were charming and rather comfortable. The breakfast with view on coloured birds was incredible

The view is amazing! We stayed in a nice wooden cabin with perfect view at the vulcano. When we were on the balcony, there where a lot of small birds. The cabin itself is big enough for 2 persons with big travelbags. The shower is warm and also big. The food (breakfast and also dinner) from the restaurant is very good and for a good price. The dogs are cute!
