Really nice little hotel with your own little cabin. Room is clean and tidy, bed is confortable. Incredible wildlife all around with monkeys and squirrels jumping on the roof. The family that own the hotel is really nice and always happy to help you. The food was the best we had around Sri Lanka. You should really try the dinner ! We can only recommand.

The accomodation and safari experience we had with Kumar was amazing. First, we booked his family accomodation for one night and Kumar contacted us with safari options proposals. The price was very correct and the experience totally exceeded our expectations. Kumar picked us at 5:30 to be the first car in the park ( opens at 6) which allowed us to see many animals including elefants in the first moment of the day. He explained us a lot about the creatures we could spot and he was really a great guide spotting animals! Also appreciate his very respectful approach to the nature. We had a very nice breakfast in the park (included in the accomodation price) and the dinner was also delicious! The welcome drink juice was a very nice surprise too :) thank you again for this great experience!

The place was beautiful even without the lake with wáter enough to swim. The room was very confortable and had a private balcony with nice views. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. We did the safary tour with the owner and we loved It, he really knows the place, and is very good at spotting small animals like lizards and birds.We saw many elephants, some of them very close! It was fantastic... Highly recomended It!

Our stay at Udawalawe Elephant Safari Lodge was absolutely amazing. We arrived at night and were warmly welcomed with a refreshing drink and a clear plan for the next day. Suru, our host, was incredibly helpful and even carried our bags into the room for us. The rooms are simple but very comfortable—perfect for a short night’s rest before heading out on safari in the morning. At 6 a.m., we started the day with a hot cup of coffee/tea before setting off. Suru’s off-road safari vehicle was very comfortable, and it only took a short drive to reach the entrance of the national park. The safari itself was smooth and unforgettable—we spotted over 10 different species of animals, including three families of elephants! Suru made sure we felt safe the whole time and even took some wonderful photos of us to remember the trip. Back at the lodge, we ended our stay with a refreshing dip in the pool and a truly delicious homemade breakfast (10/10—absolutely to die for!). All in all, I can highly recommend staying at this lodge when visiting Udawalawe National Park. The location is ideal, and the warm hospitality made our visit extra special.

the rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean with good mosquito nets and fans. dining was lovely, we enjoyed meeting other guests and the monkeys provided much entertainment!

Completely new and very nicely done accommodation! We had plenty of space and privacy. We got amazing breakfast and the safari was really great. The service was the best part, they helped us with everything and take a great care of us.

Very nice location only 30 m in the pool. Room was clean. The owner is very friendly . He help us arranged our Safari tour next day morning . It was amazing. Our Driver Really good person . We saw 1 Leopard and lot of animals . We are really enjoyed here. Highly recommend

Staying with Sujee was a delightful experience ! We had the chance to stay in the middle of the jungle between trees and a river flowing by. The room was super clean and comfortable and Sujee’s wife prepared the best Sri lankan diner for us. A true peaceful peace of heaven. We also did a Safari with Sujee who know his Udawalawe park by heart and can guide you the best to see the most of animals !
