I had an incredible stay at Blue Reef! The location is perfect, right by the beach, and the gym area was fantastic, allowing me to get some great workouts in during my stay. The staff and owners were incredibly welcoming and offered excellent recommendations for tours and activities. I also felt completely safe throughout my visit, which meant a lot as a solo female traveler. The food was absolutely delicious, and they were happy to accommodate specific dietary needs. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this place enough and would definitely come back!

The staff were above and helpful to me and my husband. A dear special thanks to Moses, Mohamed, Steve, Uthman and Amina for accommodating us and making our stay very comfortable. The location is perfect, extremely close walk to the beach. At times there were hardly any people on the beach and it was so romantic. For a couple of weeks stay you can do a few things around the island. The food is amazing and fresh! Most of all, everyone was very welcoming and nice which made it more pleasant. Want to say a special thanks to the other couple staying at the Lodge. If you're reading this Asim and Olive, thanks for the advice and tips! I had a huge desire to come to Zanzibar, I had the chance to come here thanks to my work that let me go in advance to take a few days off. I tried two hotels, Evergren Bungalow and the Park Hyatt in StoneTown. I would choose the Bungalow every time and especially next to Paje which I loved. I think I lived like a dream there, the mix between being with the locals who make you feel extremely well on their island but also the beauty of the place and the sea. I was more than happy to have found Evergreen Bungalow, I had one of the best time of my life. It was very quiet probably due to the February weather, I felt safe (safer in Zanzibar than in London) and the food was wonderful. Within 5 minutes drive you have the town of Paje which offers bars, restaurants and a market.

With sea views, MONKEY MOUNTAIN LODGE is situated in Mtende and has a restaurant, luggage storage space, bar, garden and terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge.

We stayed at the best place in Kizimkazi village! Yasmin was amazing – she took care of everything for us, from organizing tours to making sure we didn’t miss the whales. It’s definitely worth asking her about anything you need. The house is cozy and pampering. In the mornings, we ordered delicious breakfast from Yasmin’s restaurant. We felt completely safe – there’s a guard on-site 24/7. The house is surrounded by forest, and the moment you enter the path leading to it, it feels like stepping into a fairytale. No doubt we’ll be coming back at the end of our trip. Thanks to the whole team – and big thanks to Mama Yasmin!
