What a lovely place! It has all the amenities you need for your stay in gorgeous Bicheno. Supermarket is just a 5 min walk away as well as the beach where you can watch the little penguin come in late in the evening (when it's already dark). The self-Check-in was easy and you can park your car just outside the house (street parking).

Everything. It looks better than the photos. We have views of both the mountain and the sea. It has both indoor and outdoor patios. All rooms are very clean and comfortable. Has all the required amenities as well and just a very short walking distance away is a restaurant and shops including one where you can book your penguin tours. Scenic lookouts are also nearby. Wish we have stayed at least another night cos so much to explore In Bicheno.

    We visited the Devils in the Dark show. Brilliant! Viewing feeding the Tasmanian Devils over wine and cheese. Great dinner at Sealife Restaurant and Cafe. Comfortable stay at Bicheno on the Bay. Penguin chick under our deck was noisy but so exciting to see. Blowhole and beaches are stunning.

    Bicheno was a great base to explore the area.

    Bicheno was a great base to explore the area. We were sad we did not see any penguins. We had take away fish and chips at Tasmanian Coastal Seafoods which was beautifully cooked and delicious! We also had dinner at Le Coq and wow, was the most amazing piece of steak that melted in your mouth.

    Stayed at Beachfront which was great value for money,...

    Stayed at Beachfront which was great value for money, central location, within walking distance to most attractions. We ate at Food & Brew for lunch & the iconic Lobster Shack for dinner, with some afternoon beers at the newly opened Bicheno Beer Co cellar door. The blowhole is a short walk or easily accessible by a short car drive. Beautiful seaside town with lots to offer, definitely recommend staying a night or two.

    Coastal walks were superb.

    Coastal walks were superb. We could see the lookout on the hill but had great difficulty in finding information about it & easy access - a wasted opportunity for new visitors to the area as once up there the views were fabulous.

    I must admit that when I saw the property I was very disappointed .advertised as a lake view on the bay,It was a mediocre motel at best and the lake was a dirty children’s play pool really but dirty and I would never have let any children of mine anyway near it.

    Bicheno was very enjoyable and a great location to stay a few nights and enjoy the surrounds. Well located to do day trips north or south along the east coast. Enjoyed the Penguin Tour. Very scenic location.

    It’s a great location with lots to do. We stayed three nights and did day trips to Freycinet & wineglass bay, St Helen’s & Binalong Bay, walked the Bicheno whale trail, blow hole walk and did the penguin tour. We loved the friendly staff. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower too. We ate next door at the pub every night enjoying delicious food. We loved the sunrises & sunsets from our beachfront room. We will be back.

    The location is fantastic, right next door to an amazing bakery and what looked like a nice restaurant which was sadly closed the night we were there. The room is probably the best I have ever stayed in, and I typically spend at least 25 nights a year in a mulitude of hotels. I really can't recommend this place highly enough

    This place was fantastic! Beautiful cabin, great facilities on ground (tennis, kids canoes, park) spacious and self contained. You couldn't beat location either a short stroll to town, bicheno blowhole and coastal walk and lookout.

    Clean, bright & fresh and had everything we needed. Close to the beach and 3 doors down from the pub. Very central. Had a second toilet in the outdoor laundry which was very handy with a family of 6.
