We thought the charm of this vintage boutique hotel was in its art-deco style, picturesque ocean-view setting and well-appointed rooms. All of that is true but the personal service is the real prize at Hotel Isla Seca. After we experienced a car break-in/robbery in town and returned frazzled to the hotel, we got incredible support from the staff—assisting us with numerous complicated phone conversations (that our Spanish was too limited to handle) to police departments and the car rental company, moving the car to their secure parking, supplying and installing plastic to cover our broken car window, and even providing a much-needed drink. We can’t thank Gaston, Barbara, Berenice, Cristina and others enough for helping us to feel safe and cared for. The serene atmosphere and gorgeous setting helped us to relax after our mishap. Hotel Isla Seca is truly a haven. The restaurant is outstanding, as well. We enjoyed many meals there, hardly eating anywhere else in our three days on the coast.

Jairo is the jewel in the Casa Wilson experience. From his informative welcome to the daily breakfasts he prepared, we really appreciated all that he did to make our experience lovely. The history of the house and all of the many historic photos and artifacts, including the furniture, transported us back to another era. The easy access and views of the beach and the beach restaurants were so convenient. We slept so well as the sea lulled us to sleep each night.

Such a beautiful spot. We really enjoyed our stay. The place was spacious, tidy, well equipped, check in and out was easily facilitated, recommendations were great via a PDF they shared on things nearby and important processes. Staff were also kind and welcoming, and had an umbrella they lent us for a day at the beach. About 5-10 minute drive to town (also walkable but takes a bit longer).

We have been there now a couple of times. For me, it's the best beach town for a weekend trip from Santiago; it's simply nicer and cleaner than other towns in the area (although also more pricey).

Loved our stay in this small boutique hotel, which is decorated in a modern and elegant style, but at the same time feels homey and cozy. We had the twin room, with 2 spacious and comfortable beds. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is top with fresh homemade products, we tried the restaurant one evening for dinner and the food was very good as well. Easy parking on the street close to the hotel

Beautiful house in a fabulous location. Very homely and relaxed atmosphere, very comfortable room. Outstanding attention from the owner who was so very kind, thoughtful and accommodating and really interesting to talk to. Zapallar is a beautiful town in the most stunning location and this small and super friendly family hotel is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful coastline.

Great location - wonderful sea view from the bedroom - super comfortable bed - excellent restaurant - friendly, helpful staff - the manager was amazing - he was so personable & enabled me to plan the next two tricky sections of my trip around Chile - this is clearly a hotel that puts its clients first - lovely swimming pool.

The cabaña was delightfully fitted out, e.g. with lovely house plants and was very comfortable. It was set in beautiful countryside about 10-20 mins drive from the towns (and beaches) of Maitencio, Cachagua and Zapallar. At the time of my visit, the wildflowers, plants and birds around the cabaña were superb.
