Charming two level cabin in a remote location, but convenient for an early morning visit to Poás Volcano. We were just 2 people but the cabin has sleeping for at least 10 people as well as a kitchen with hob, fridge freezer and wood fireplace, plus WiFi. The views are spectacular! Lots of blankets which came in handy as this was the coldest area we stayed in CR! Host was lovely and was waiting for us to guide us on where to park as waze was going to take us further down the track! Make sure you let her know your arrival time.

We were very happy to stay at this lovely small hotel with a beautiful garden and friendly hosts 🌸 The spacious, well-kept garden is wonderful, with funny rabbits freely hopping around🥰 Everything is very clean, and the breakfast and dinner were delicious. Wonderful location, with views towards Poas Volcano. Tranquil and peaceful location with beautiful gardens, landscape. Friendly and helpful staff throughout. Good choice of breakfast was included in the room rate we had paid. We ate each night at the lodge and the food was delicious and such a lovely cosy restaurant. The lounge area was beautifully furnished and we loved the little log burners which warmed it. We would certainly stay here again.

We stayed at the Altura Hotel. It was amazing beyond words!

We stayed at the Altura Hotel. It was amazing beyond words! Can not say enough about this place. We stayed in a 'dome/yurt' and it was beautiful, well appointed and excellent in every sense of the word. Breakfast was included and it was such a treat!

This was a beautiful property.

This was a beautiful property. We enjoyed the foliage and flowers and all the little sitting areas. The room was very comfortable and had all of the amenities we required. The only thing that could be improved upon is to have a breakfast selection. It was the same thing every morning.

A great little hotel in a good location for visiting Volcano Poas and La Paz Waterfall Gardens. Parking in front of the property is a bonus. My room was large and had good heating. The hummingbird feeders around the property are well used, and it's lovely to watch the birds. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant attached was open long hours and served a wide range of food and drinks

From the time we arrive we felt more than welcomed.. everything was prepared for us in the most effective way..the location of the hotel was like a fairytale..our room has a fantastic view ..the breakfast was so hommy and delicious.. And above all I have to say that the owner was so kind and friendly and generous..she make everything she could to make our stay a fantastic experience.

We were particularly pleased by the warm welcome of the staff. They were extremely helpful and took the time to give us advice regarding the rest of our trip. The dinner was excellent and the breakfast was very good. We highly recommend this hotel for people who want to visit Poás volcano since it is nearby.

Charming hotel way out by some fields near Poasito. The views are superb and you feel like you are on a farm. There are cows nearby, a donkey, two shaggy dogs, and at least one cat. The staff are helpful and a nice breakfast is included.

The hotel room was spacious, and there was a heater available. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the staff was very nice and attentive. I guess the location must be wonderful with good weather conditions.
