FAQs about hotels in Prague

Discover the Magic of Prague

The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale façade of this Bohemian city intact.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.

Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.

The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.

Flights arriving at Prague Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city centre after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

So many wonderful things to do for the entire family or generations of family depending on what you're after from entertainment, culture, and R&R, to peaceful walks, great food and fairly cheap drinks. Prague's public transport system means you can get anywhere quickly and easily without any real hassles.

Very walkable city. Interesting architecture.

Very walkable city. Interesting architecture. Lots to do particularly if you like the outdoors. Really enjoyed the astronomical tower at Klementinum but also the guided tour at old town hall. Castle tour interesting as well. I have seen a lot of European cathedrals but the St Vitus in Prague was different and very interesting. As for restaurants, if you are a vegetarian, it is hard to find good food options. The restaurants here are very meat focused (particularly pork, duck and beef).

Very beautiful town, nice museums, a lot to see, old city is a must visit. Monuments are great, public transport also very good. Many shops, good shopping, but the best was the food and beer in almost all restaurants... no diet in Prague...

A must-see city for a lot of reasons.

A must-see city for a lot of reasons. BUT, watch for the credit card currency trap. When paying with credit card, ALWAYS insist on paying in Czech Koruna [the country's currency], NEVER IN EURO [unless, one day, the Czech Republic abandons the Koruna and adopts the Euro as the official currency]. Magnificient and affordablle transportation system, even for the airport, and totally free for 65 years old and above [half price for 60 to 64]. Street guided tours are an absolute must [optional donations]. You'll really learn a great deal whhile touring one-of-a-kind historical locations. Very friendly people with English widely spoken.

Beautiful city with great architecture, I took some one day trips to Karlovy Vary, Cesky Krumlov and Olomouc. Plus I stayed one day visiting Prague. I loved it. The only problem that I encountered, not only in Prague but in most cities in Europe, is that it's overcrowded even if i was there in October. I don't want to imaging being there during the Summer. It should be very Chaotic!!

Prague is a wonderful and beautiful city.

Prague is a wonderful and beautiful city. I visited 8 years ago and had great memories, so naturally wanted to return. Prague Castle is stunning and I love running along the river, across the Charles Bridge on the other side of town. A few things that shocked me about Prague was the pollution and amount of people smoking (like everywhere). It was a constant battle to get any fresh air. I understand it’s a small city, with populated areas in the old town, but perhaps they need to think about electric cars, or other options to lesson the pollution. I ended up booking a tour to the Saxon National Park on the second day to get out. Was quite disappointing. Even the taxi from the airport into town was so old, the diesel was pumping into the vehicle. Was horrible. Massive issue. It’s disappointing because it’s certainly lost its charm when I visited all those years ago. Also, if you’re coffee obsessed like I am, this is not the city for you. The coffee is shocking in Prague, as they mainly make it from a machine, rather than barrister.

This is a beautiful old property. Located between the Charles bridge and old town square, both are a few minutes away. We had a suite, it was gorgeous with an original painted ceiling. Lift access to all floors. This is an internet hotel, so no reception service and you get a code for the door which also operates your room key. Outside there are bars, shops, ATM’s and all you need. I would have given 5 stars, but there was a couple of issues.

The staff were very friendly, and the price was great value for money. The location is excellent—just a short walk to Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square. Shopping is convenient, and there are plenty of good restaurants and pubs nearby. I personally had a good rest, but the hotel thoughtfully provided earplugs just in case of noise.
