Carmen Maria was very hospitable with her daughter, who speaks English. The apartment is well equipped and clean. When Carmen Maria asked us, we chose the double bed room, and it is facing the street, which is a bit noisy sometimes, but in the night it was quiet. Carmen Maria was always on contact and giving good advices, including the cafe with nice pastries. The parking is somewhat difficult, because we were on a low clearance car and we couldn't get to the parking suggested by Carmen Maria, but we were lucky to find parking along the street, so it was okay.

The terraces are lovely! The kitchen facilities very sufficient. My room and the shared bathroom were clean and tidy on arrival. I stayed 2 nights, hiking trails only 5 minute drive away, there was a grocery store just a few meters away and the pueblo is very small in general so it's easy to walk everywhere. I was greeted by a friendly host.

Beautifully restored old village house The hosts were very friendly and gave us helpful information about the area. Our room was on the 3rd floor. It was smaller but cozy with comfy bed. There was a kettle, selection of teas, water and small sweet treats. Attached batroom was very clean. Amazing view from the window, especially in the evening when the castle was illuminated. Breakfast was tasty and copious. The whole hotel is beautifuly decorated and updated while keeping historical charm. Also the town of Iznajar is pretty. We recommend an evening walk up to the castle. We were lucky to find the parking in front of the house, but there is also nearby parking lot

It was a good base for exploring many of the local walking...

It was a good base for exploring many of the local walking trails. We also drove to Cordoba which was interesting. Our visit to Rute in early December was at a time when many restaurants were shut. The Sugar Museum was worth a visit.

Attractive Spanish townhouses when viewed from street level. Difficult to walk around the narrow, steeply sloping streets with very narrow pavements which can be hazardous when wet (especially if you are elderly). Basic standards for cafes and restaurants. Limited provisions for supermarkets. English speaking virtually non-existent.

This is a stunning little apartment at a really good location in Rute. A few steps away from bars and restaurants. The anis museum is also just steps away. The couple Carmen and Manuel were so kind and helpful. The apartment has everything you need for a staycation in Rute. It even has a lovely patio in the back of the house where you can enjoy meals and just sit and relax. All amenities are new and fresh. All the best to the hosts.

A lovely flat in central Rute, very clean and comfy. The owner and her daughter met us to hand over keys but they made this very easy for us. The balcony has lovely views and lots of sunshine and the flat has everything you need for a stay and is very modern, If we are in the area again we would definitely stay again. Underfloor heating was a bonus for winter stays.

Communication with the hosts was exceptional. We arrived on motorcycles and they were able to provide garaged parking at the property which is incredible in the Pueblos Blancas. Everything was new clean and bright. Rute is a typical Spanish Village. The walk down to the main square provides beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Highly recommended.
