Bradford gets a bum rap, which is a shame as it's got so much. Overshadowed by Leeds just a few miles away (why?!), Bradford is working hard to ditch the brutal mistakes of 70s town planning - and look what's hiding underneath! Gems of Victorian architecture; an increasingly walking friendly city centre; three superb arts/music venues; and a vibrant vibe that comes for its centuries of diverse communities making the city their home. Never boring! Top tip - Waterstones! It's in the old wool trading building on Hustlergate and is truly magnificent.Guest review byMee - 10

Bradford is a city from the past, run down whilst attempting to be modern, too many tastes to please... Having said all that it is my CITY, I was born in a Bradford suburb went to school there and love it as the place of my birth and childhood. It used to be a proud City now it is a shadow of its former past. Why it can be considered as a 'City of culture' is beyond me... All its history and magnificence is compromised all its character has been replaced by extremist ideologies that DO NOT WORK in harmony and certainly are not on the same page. INCLUSIVITY intentions RESULTS IN EXCLUSIVITY in reality... Revisit history where you can, the Town hall is a very fine building, St Georges Hall and the Alhambra are steeped in history and grand days. The Midland Hotel and Great Victoria need returning to their splendid past, alas as with most things years of damage perhaps means that is impossible. No real reason to visit.
No real reason to visit. It’s a functional place for the people who live there or travel through. In my humble opinion one would not choose to visit Bradford in the way that one would choose to visit Harrogate or York for instance.Guest review byGraemeUnited Kingdom

The room was mostly clean and comfortable. It looked like the shower room had been upgraded recently with a corner shower. We had a 2nd upgrade to a suite next door.
