A beautiful historical building with all modern amenities. The bedroom and bathroom were both spacious and well furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable, the spa was gorgeous and the hotel was within easy walking distance of the town centre. Breakfast was delicious and varied and the staff were all extremely pleasant.

The property was exactly as per the photos & exceptionally well renovated. The design features indicated a real focus on detail, like the electric toothbrush charger, the power points with built in phone charger access & the wonderfully thick & soft towels.

Thank you for the very warm welcome. What a great place with the love for detail. I had a very nice and cozy room with a comfy bed and all amenities needed. The house is perfectly located in walking distance from restaurants and shopping and still very quiet. I had to leave early and was offered to have a sandwich on the way. Unfortunately my vehicle broke down and I created a little bit of chaos with my departure. Thanks for the help to get me going again.

Fabulous cottage. Very comfortable and characterful, beautiful location, well-equipped and much more spacious inside than it looks from the outside. There are lovely walks locally and the river Wye is just across the road. A pub a few minutes' walk away and it's just a few miles from Buxton. The supply of tea, coffee and milk in the kitchen was a nice touch.

Our lovely hosts provided us with a form on arrival which enabled us to pre-order our desired breakfast options. The serving sizes were very generous and all the food was sourced locally and home made. We had a lovely bowl of mixed fruit, plus a hot breakfast. There was also a bowl of fresh fruit in our room, and a small refridgerator with bottles of both still and sparkling water. The value for money was amazing.I would highly recommend staying at Kingscroft - you wont be disappointed.

Went to watch a show at the Opera House which is a magnificent old building had a meal beforehand then stayed overnight at a local B and B. Town itself has lots of diverse eating and drinking establishments along with a nice park in its centre. Fair few artisan shops as well. Would recommend it for an overnight stay or as a base to explore other areas within the Peak District

Lovely town with historic buildings and scenery. We arrived by train, walked around the town a lot but it wasn't easy to visit places outside of the town. We've had a hire care. We'll visit there again but by our own car.

Buxton has beautiful buildings and lovely atmosphere. Only complaint is one of the places on the internet to see list was The Dome. Having climbed up the hill to visit we found it was closed during term time. Not happy with that.

Our visit to Buxton was a 24hr stop over on a longer journey. The Westminster Hotel proved a good choice for my wife and I. It was quiet and suited our low alcohol intake, geriatric lifestyle ! Evening meals were not available at the hotel but it was within easy walking distance of the town and several restaurants. We were lucky with the weather - if it had been cold and wet the town centre would have been soaking instead of walking distance !

The four poster room was excellent for comfort and the view from the window looking over the gardens wonderful and relaxing. The staff were all helpful, friendly and professional and coped admirably when a water pipe burst and we had to have breakfast on our final morning in the bar and not the restaurant. We will certainly use this hotel on our next visit to Buxton.

I visited Buxton for the opera and stayed one night. The hotel is very central, a short walk from the Opera House and the Pavilion Gardens. There's free parking between 6pm and 8am across the road. My room was large, clean and comfortable. The food is very good in the Thai restaurant downstairs. All the staff were friendly and helpful

The grand Victorian communal areas were very impressive. It's good to support a hotel that is maintaining such an iconic building, it must cost a fortune to maintain. Good sized car park and great location right in the centre of Buxton.
