Arrived early morning after delayed flight, reception was great and found my room electric.charger on site to charge my car; slept.well, used the facilities in the spa the next day excellent and had a great meal at the restaurant well rested and relaxed for.my journey thank you.marrott

The owner is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations and doesn't serve meals, but there are several good places to eat nearby, so that is not a problem.

7 The Walks was full of character and was very comfortable. Really comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms, a large kitchen and large comfortable lounge.Very clean and well equipped, e.g. a proper washing-up cloth rather than the usual j-cloth! I loved the old-fashioned toilet with the pull chain which reminded me of my childhood at my grandmother’s house. I also loved the wonky floors and the first floor bedroom with the low beamed ceiling and the old wooden bed in it (very comfortable mattress). It was lovely to wake up in the morning with a ‘lost in time’ feeling. Parking wasn’t a problem. Two close lovely walks to the right and left.

The Thatched Cottage set in a picturesque garden within the historic village of Hever where Hever Castle was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn the second wife of Henry VIII and the mother of Queen Elizabeth I. Hever village is in the parish of Sevenoaks district in Kent located on the River Eden tributary of the River Medway east of Edenbridge. The place name of Hever "Heanyfre" meaning High Edge. There are three parish churches, one at each village Four Elms, Hever and Markbeech all are one united benefice. In the parish church of St Peter is the tomb of Thomas Boleyn, the father of Anne Boleyn and grandfather of Queen Elizabeth I.
