Our pod was so cute, warm & welcoming for our w.e break! It had everything we needed & the beds & bedding were so snug! We also had our own immaculate bathroom a short stroll away. The site and utilities are very well organised. Tim, the owner was very friendly and hospitable. Lynda, the campsite manager was equally lovely. The breakfast was superb (Eggs cellent in fact ;) We had Full English on Morning 1 and everything on the plate was perfect...... the eggs were divine as we both love our eggs , one scrambled one poached and I cannot believe how tasty they were all 3 mornings :) The location is so central and convenient for us as we visit family in the area. Proximity to the town park is essential for entertaining little ones We had Main meal there 2 evenings and on both occasions the food was superb and always served with a smile even when staff were under great pressure

The staff were very hospitable and helpful they went 'the extra mile' and made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed an evening meal and breakfast; our meals were tasty and the service excellent. We particularly appreciated the 12 noon checkout as it gave us time to do the Uckfield parkrun and return for an unhurried breakfast and a shower before checkout time. We would stay there again.

I went to school at mayfield College about a mile away from the village for 6 years in te early 1960's. I don't think the village has changed much in that time except there is no railway line thanks to Dr. Beeching.

We stayed in Mayfield for one night and used it as base to...

We stayed in Mayfield for one night and used it as base to visit the area. The food is good quality and not excessively priced. There was great musical entertainment in the bar that night too. It is an old Inn so expect the quirks that go with that.
