I stayed in one of the apartments belonging to the Old Bull Inn - the apartments are in an annex building a few steps away from the main building, but I still had access to all the same perks (breakfast, etc) as any other guest. The apartment was absolutely beautiful - spotlessly clean and well-kept - and the Inn's staff were wonderful from the time of my arrival, carrying my luggage over to the annex and up the single flight of stairs for me (there is no lift, so be warned if that's an issue for you), and seeing that I was comfortably installed. I ate my meals at the Old Bull, and the food and service were both excellent. I had a wonderful stay here, and would happily return.

I needed somewhere to sleep for two nights. Anthony and his partner were responsive, helpful, friendly, and unobtrusive. Position was great for the train station and town. There's a good chip shop very nearby, Kelly's Cakes and a small shop and Post Office on Queens Road. And town is barely a 4 minute walk. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and everything worked. Comfortable bed and bright room.

A small town with big history!

A small town with big history! The Elizabethans, Stuarts, Georgians, Victorians and Edwardians have all left their own mark on the market town which is rightly proud of its history and appears to take care of it too. Narrow historic streets and lanes are worth walking around due to eclectic mix of shops and dining places in amongst the usual high street names, barbers and nail bars. A good base for nearby Cambridge, Duxford and surrounding countryside.

The photo made the room look more spacious than it actually...

The photo made the room look more spacious than it actually was, there were too many things in such a small room, and items added since the photo was taken that made the room uncomfortable to use. Noting 8m in the offering did not translate as the photo. The host is lovely and really would do well to buy a bigger place and transfer her skills there. Royston itself is a sweet little town with everything within 5 minutes

Nobody at the Coach House when we arrived, waited 30...

Nobody at the Coach House when we arrived, waited 30 minutes for some one to be there. The room was not in the main building, it was clean but more like a motel in the middle of nowhere. They were not very friendly gave us the key to the room and that was it. We decided not to stay and booked a room at The Old Bull Inn in Royston. Royston was very good with a nice Park some good pubs and shops too. Our stay at the Old Bull Inn was perfect but tight for parking

We didn't actually visit the town of Royston and the Coach...

We didn't actually visit the town of Royston and the Coach House Hotel is a bit off the beaten track but ideal for the Duxford Imperial War Museum and not too far from Audley End House, which was our main reason for choosing this hotel and the beautiful city of Cambridge is not too far away and a must see.

We liked everything about our short stay. Went to a wedding nearby and needed a place in Royston for a night. Our room had everything we needed. It was spacious, very clean, very quiet and looked very recently refurbished. It had a shared bathroom, but we never saw anybody else using it. Came with a massive shower and a separate toilet too. Breakfast was very tasty and affordable. Very friendly owner. Smooth check-in and check-out. Walking-distance to the train station and town centre. Would happily stay again if in the area again!

The property was filthy and was full of mould. The toilet was blocked and no hot water. It hadn’t been cleaned for months there was dust webs all over the walls, dead flys in the sink. The smell hit you soon as you walked through the door I stopped 1 night and was straight out in the morning and been poorly since. Booking.com is so slow at investigating my claim and the hotel offered me 50% back. Please do not stay here for your own health. See pictures.

The staff at this pub/hotel are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We met non-resident friends for dinner and it was excellent, we all enjoyed our meals. Breakfast was also very good, with plenty of it. The bedroom was spacious and the bed very comfortable. There is a good TV. The bathroom was huge and we had a lovely walk-in shower. There is aircon in the room (room 7), which for a pub is pretty unusual and very welcome.

Great 2nd visit to this hotel. Very handy for our visit to Duxford. As before, the owner and his family and staff are very friendly. The room was spotless as was the hotel. Good selection of drinks at the bar and the main menu choices are fantastic, with well prepared and presented food at a reasonable price. Breakfast is great too. See you all in August :)
