Withernsea is a deprived area but has a lot to offer.

Withernsea is a deprived area but has a lot to offer. The beaches of Withernsea and Tunstall are beautiful and if you are careful to keep an eye on the tides you can walk for miles. Spurn Point is just 30 minutes drive away and has a lovely lighthouse which is sometimes open. Withernsea has its own lighthouse which is in a street!!! its worth going up for the views! I would recommend the Golden Haddock for your chippy tea, Captain Williams pub for good pub food and a drink (sometimes they have live bands on), ALDI is the best place to stock up on food if you are self-catering, There are plenty of cafes for tea and cake and fishing is good off the beach.

To many cheap shops with sub standard items however the saving for the town was the Aldi and Tesco located in the town centre Did not fancy eating in Withernsea but the village of Partrington 10 mins from Willows Caravan Park have a really great Coffee Shop where great snacks were available ,Walking around Withernsea because it was flat with very little inclines was easy

We only stayed one night, so cannot give a full review the prom was very nice although very quiet later on( it was peak holiday season) we enjoyed a visit to the lighthouse with very enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff. before a visit to Spurn Head.

Withernsea for us was ok.

Withernsea for us was ok. The resort itself seems to have been left behind but as a town it's got all you need. Good base to visit other seaside places. In the evening the place is quiet and empty. If you like resorts like Blackpool or Scarborough this is not for you

Withernsea in early July was quiet, beaches fairly empty and easy to travel to. Reason for neutral review is we found it too run down with a kind of lack of care feel e.g. paths in town areas not cleaned well, not many shop choices to visit. The promenade was a nice walk with plenty of seating along it if mobility is not good.

1st time in withernsea.

1st time in withernsea. We liked it was quiet, the beach was good at the top end of town. Nice bit of grass for the kids to play on. The big Tesco was really handy for us. The Northfield did really good meals with quite big portions.
