I had a truly wonderful time. The family is absolutely lovely, warm, kind, and always willing to help. The food was incredibly delicious and freshly prepared, using local ingredients, every meal felt nourishing and made with love. The location is a bit remote, but still within reasonable distance from the beach and local shops. We really enjoyed our bamboo bungalow during our stay here. The morning views and sunrise were absolutely breathtaking and we saw it every morning. We also felt at home from the minute we arrived. The people there are super friendly and listen to all your questions and needs. You can do many activities in the area with aranka or rent bikes or scooters and ride around on your own. We appreciated the daily fruits, snacks and teas which are provided a lot and are thankful that we got to know new dishes and specialities. We also got a little chess lesson from Gilang and Azmi, who were also super friendly and chilled. The next tournament is still to come ;-) We were able to have super open conversations with all of them and learn a lot about the culture and life on Lombok. Also they try to connect themselves and other guests with each other with hosting a fire and playing the guitar for example. We would come back every time!

The building is a marvellous traditional wooden building. The staff are wonderful. Beds huge and super comfortable. They have a gymnasium! They have lovely garden and great rice paddy views. The food was traditional Indonesian food and was excellent. Air con was great. Rooms are huge. The place is a real hidden little gem.

We had a truly incredible three days at the villa and with Abdi, who was there for us throughout our stay. The villa is beautiful, with a lovely view of Mount Rinjani if ​​you wake up early in the morning, as well as direct access to the rice fields. Everything is super clean and well-appointed. Go here! The family is so welcoming and you will have a wonderful stay there. You can enjoy "the real lombok" here. Jar wants to take you to the highlights in the area and Russ cooks the most delicious dishes. And meanwhile the kids want to play with you and teach you new things. I really felt part of the family. Staff were really friendly and welcoming they made sure I had everything I need for my stay. The owner also gave me opportunities to meet his friends and family and also to teach at a local school which was a great experience. I would highly recommend muni’s bungalows( one in masbagik or lendang belo) for both family and solo travellers. His English was very good which made the stay even more nice, he offered me tea and coffee everytime I saw him, which went well with his delicious breakfast.

The two bungalows were very nicely made, clean and comfortable. The owner was very friendly, we could even leave our bicycles there while we hiked the Rinjani. We had a wonderfull stay and would totally recommend it to everyone who is passing through Selong. There is also the possibility to organize hikes and other activities through the owner.
