The house is stunning and Laurent was a fantastic host. The room we stayed in was beautiful with a comfortable bed and spacious ensuite. There are amazing views from everywhere in the house and plenty of places to relax and read a book. The pool was refreshing and the garden is a beautiful area to spend time. Laurent cooked our meals and carefully catered for our dietary requirements (coeliac). Laurent suggested great activities to do during the day and even set us up with a wonderful driver who was familiar with the area and charged fair rates. The house is located at 600m off the main road on a rocky gravel path, we recommend using Laurent's taxi driver if you plan on arriving by car - he will message you about this before your stay. Other drivers may drop you off at the top of the path and overcharge you. We would absolutely stay here again and couldn't recommend it more highly.

We had an amazing time staying with Laurent. The house is beautiful and very well decorated, with an incredible open view across the jungle especially the amazing sunsets. We could wake up to the sound of the birds singing in the morning and it's the perfect place to just rest and read in the middle of nature. Laurent made us some lovely food for lunch and dinner including an incredible fish soup and the pancakes for breakfast were exceptional! Nothing to complain about and we would definitely come back again. He said they will have WiFi later this year, but actually it's the perfect place to digital detox....just make sure you bring some books! He can arrange day trips to waterfalls etc., but we chose to just relax at the house. There are lots of comfy places to sit or lie around. Recommend to use Laurent's driver for transfer as the approach road is a little tricky but no issue for his driver (there are plans to pave the road ).

AMAZING place! The staff are so friendly, the food is so delicious! It's so peaceful listening to all the beetles and being immersed in nature. Fantastic seeing traditional home construction methods. Im so glad I had the opportunity to stay at Sten Lodge for all the magic that it offers! A true global gem! I could not recommend enough!

Beautiful birds singing all day but so quiet in the Villa. The cafe was up high off the main thoroughfare but was fun dining and watching the locals pass by with their colourful vehicles

The house and its surroundings ware absolutely magnificent. Great bed, and a view to die for. Jungle vibes all around. Very clean, very comfortable and spaceous. The swiming pool is picture perfect, albeit not very big. Great knowledgeable host who is very friendly and helpful. You can have excellent freshly cooked breakfast and dinner in the house, prepared by wonderful Femi. We had an amzing time and couldn't stop taking pictures and video's of the house and the view :-) Too bad we stayed only 2 nights.

Everything is super great. I don't have so much time to write about all good things that are in this hotel. -Beautiful. Everything. What you see on pictures is what you get in reality. -Dorms are convinient, clean, well equipped. -Dorm showers are spacious, with good pressure warm water, shampoo and soap available. -Pool area and restaurant are amazing. My recommendation to spend one more additional day after makening Komodo tour just relaxing by the pool. -Several common areas available, billard table, table tennis, gym. -Almost every night live band (good one) music. -Food in restaurant is very good and nicely priced. -Managers help to call reasonable priced taxi to airport or other location. But if you are on a low budged you can reach port for 15minutes walk or aiport for 30minutes.

Breakfast was exceptional. Many choices and everything were delicious! Food at The Kliff was superb. I am still thinking about the pastas and pizzas there.
