Highly recommend staying here with Teldy and his family! Located in a beautiful small village amongst the hills and rice fields. Everyone was so welcoming! We got invited for coffee with one of the neighbours and had a lovely chat with Teldy in the morning over breakfast. Teldy’s wife Relyn also runs a great Homestay in Labuan Bajo! We got invited again for coffee when we got back to Labuan Bajo even though they were fully booked and we couldn’t stay there. Super welcoming local family!!

We had a wonderful stay at Mama’s, the place is still partly under renovation but the room, the bathrooms and the common area are already so comfortable and lovely, very clean and well decorated. Breakfast is also delicious! Many many thanks to Faldi and Nina for their hospitality and their kindness. We had a one day tour around Ruteng with Faldi and got to see beautiful landscapes! We also got the chance to learn more about Maggarai culture and meet with Faldi’s family.

An absolute highlight of our four week trip in Indonesia. We had dinner at the guest house both evenings and felt like part of the family. Our hosts were wonderful, really helpful with transport and tours, cooked us wonderful meals both nights. On top of that rooms were immaculately clean, and the breakfast view is unbeatable. I had a truly pleasant stay at Natalia Homestay. The room was very clean and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to rest after a long day. This was by far one of the best accommodations I’ve been to in Indonesia in terms of warmth and learning about the local culture! - Piter and Fian are the best hosts, so welcoming, I truly felt part of a family! It was so interesting to learn more about the culture and their village - the apartment is very spacious, clean, bright - delicious breakfast included - it’s in a quiet location, only a couple of minutes away by scooter to the centre of Ruteng. You can enjoy a relaxing walk into nature from the accommodation - there is hot water!
