I had a truly wonderful stay here! The place is beautiful, very peaceful, and perfectly designed for a comfortable stay. The room was spotless, with a super comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom with hot water. What really makes this place special are the owners – they are absolutely delightful, incredibly kind, and always ready to help with anything you need. They gave me great tips about things to do in Sidemen and made me feel so welcome. I had an amazing night here and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for both comfort and genuine hospitality.

Amazing place! We had the most incredible and relaxing stay. Couldn’t fault it, every small detail was catered for. You can stay in the room & soak up the beautiful view, enjoy dips in the private pool, in-room dining, then wander down to the local village to explore. The room including a full menu and room service, with all the special touches included. They even created a special fully vegan menu that the team put together and we were very impressed. The entire space and the views are absolutely stunning. The hosts and team were fantastic and had lots of local recommendations for us. We wished we could have stayed longer!

The bungalow was new, clean and exactly as shown on the photos on the website. All staff were super friendly and attentive. The restaurant has amazing views over the rice terraces of sidemen. It is a short walk to the main street with various restaurants and warungs. Overall, the Devani resort definitely exceeded our expectations.

We arrived at this property with beautiful smiles and friendliness that continued on over the duration of our stay. Our accommodation was in a suit room and it was the best room we have ever seen. The service was impeccable. The staff were amazing Pia, Eti and Budi we will never forget. I hope this hotel look after there staff as they are they key for us having an amazing stay. All our room Service food and all our complimentary afternoon tea were faultless causing us too never eat out of the hotel. The location and views from our suite and were so peaceful. The hotel at the time was busy with guests but we felt like we were the only ones there. We will and have already highly recommended this to all our friends and family and we definitely be making this hotel our part of our next visit to Sidemen. The best restaurant in Indonesia is the Asri in this hotel. The food is outrageously good and quite inexpensive! The hotel is gorgeous with great views from every cottage. The service is amazing and the staff quickly learn your name and what you like/don't like. I was not bothered by insects at this hotel at all. Highly recommend for a splurge!

We only stayed a late afternoon and night while making our way to the North of Bali. There are a few tours that you can do, and I plan on coming back next year for 3 nights instead. It’s the perfect place to unplug and get away from buzz of city life whether it’s in the south or back home in a large city.

I have been to Bali many times and tell people "it's not all traffic, crowds and beach clubs; you will find that Bali you want to find" For me, that is Sidemen, which feels like Ubud 50 years ago. So lush and beautiful. I did a silver jewellery workshop, and the rice terraces trek. I wanted to go white-water rafting, but I am over 64 years old and they had no insurance coverage for someone my age. On a previous visit, I combined a few days on Gilli Air with a few days in Sidemen as it is close to Padang Bai. It is a great location for exploring central and east coast Bali. Traffic is not too bad. The climate is a littler cooler than the coast which makes a nice respite.

Sidemen is a beautiful village, quiet and reminds you of how you imagine Bali used to be like. Having said that, it has some top eating places. Rice fields all around, silver classes, cooking classes, place to relax and unwind. Highly recommend.

Beautiful location, stunning views, refreshingly not overdeveloped. For me it was a glimpse of the real Bali. Activities include walking through rice fields, swimming in waterfalls and making your own silver jewellery with the help of skilled local artisans

The beauty of the area was what I had hoped to find in Indonesia. It just took a bit to find it. A windy journey up into the hills made for an exhilarating welcome to the mountainous area of Bali. A lovely escape from the scooters & vehicles of Ubud & Legian, I can highly recommend the rice field walk & a visit to Gembleng Waterfall. The view from the top of the hill at Koli Koli restaurant is amazing. A must visit for those seeking an authentic Balinese experience

This is my favourite hotel I’ve ever stayed in. A little jungle retreat in the best of Bali nature. Beautiful, serene, calm, peaceful- it was so relaxing listening to the beautiful river. The staff were amazingly friendly, food great, pool area lovely, room cosy. AC and wifi worked perfectly. If you want to switch off and chill out in authentic Bali (away from tourists), book book book!

I spent 2 nights in Makna, and the experience was so good, the place is new and kept very clean, right in front of Sidemen ricefields, Komang is one amazing lady, very easy going, helpful and fun to talk to. I also had a deep tissue massage in their spa, and it was one of my favorite in Bali. Thank you guys for taking care of me, we will definitely meet again.

Buntera Homestay is in a great location, within easy walking distance of the rice paddy walks and restaurants and warungs. The room has air conditioning and a fridge, and is a good size and with a nice balcony. A nice breakfast is included. The cleanliness really is exceptional. Next time we are in Sidemen we will stay here again.

This place is amazing. Could not recommend it any more for anyone looking to visit Sidemen. The hotel is spectacularly finished, the staff are unbelievably welcoming and the food and facilitates were second to none. If you're travelling to Sidemen and can afford to stay here, then it's absolutely worth the premium!
