The location is amazing and the staff from the minute we walked in tired, with heavy bags, were helpful. Hannah on reception went above and beyond to help us with tours and ensuring we got a table in the restaurant. We loved the dinner and the breakfasts.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic, every single person working there were so friendly and helpful. Food was amazing as was the service. Drivers were always available for drop offs and pickups and were so chatty. Could not fault it and would recommend it to everyone. Will look forward to coming back again. Mary and Paul

Staff were very helpful and seemed genuinely interested in you, I asked about a vegetarian option for the 7 course tasting menu in the fine dining restaurant and they couldn't have been more helpful in a very non-pretentious way. The buzz in the bar was great, the jazz first rate. Even though there were a lot of children present due to the Easter holidays the premises were big enough to dilute their nosiness! Though for a new build the floors seem thin and we were awoken at 7 a.m. to the sound of a tap dancing child in the room above.

Fota Island resort never fails to deliver on relaxation and is a wonderful place for a getaway break. We've been back to this hotel on many occasions, and it will continue to be our 'go to' place. It has so much to offer from golf to spa retreats to an excellent location as a base for sightseeing trips. The staff have always been so kind and welcoming which adds to the air of quiet elegance which we associate with Fota! The hotel and facilities are well maintained, and rooms are fresh and comfortable (never worn or dated!).

Highlight for my granddaughter was the swimming pool.

Highlight for my granddaughter was the swimming pool. She wasn't allowed into the pool at the time we had booked. The booking was made at check-in where the receptionist was aware that my granddaughter was 13 years old. We returned from Cobh early to avail of our swimming appointment and were then turned away. The receptionist at the Spa was quite rude and when I asked him what was available in the Spa told me to look it up myself online..
