I had the great privilege of having a little time to get to know Salim and his family. They were very kind to me. Salim took me on some adventures around Bikaner and I learned a lot about the history and culture. He is most knowledgeable and very generous with his sharing. Salim introduced me to his father who is an incredible artist. We had a wonderful time looking through his portfolio and I bought a gorgeous sketch for my daughter. Salim also introduced me to his mother who cooked a lovely meal, which we are watching the sun set from the rooftop. Magical!

We loved everything. Seth (the owner) was really nice during all out stay. He came to pick us up at the bus stop because it was late in the night. He contacted us in avance to arrange our arrival. Then, he treated us as friends. We passed a day together, visiting Karni Mata temple and he took care of everything and showed us the havelis in the old town. He really is a good person and wants you to feel good at anytime during your stay. Salman who is also working there was really nice as well, making sure that we didn't miss anything. The room is worth the money, and the food that they propose is really good. The location is also good, and they have a personnal tuk tuk driver so you get the good price to go around. Thank you so much guys for everything, you made our stay in the beautiful Bikaner perfect ! Hope we will come back and see you again.

The couple running the haweli were so friendly and helpful, giving us a place to rest at 4:30am before our checkin after a sleepless night bus. We enjoyed a paid cooked meal and even watched as it was cooked to learn some Indian cooking techniques. WiFi was good, facilities great and clean. A fridge to store a few beers was also lovely. Included breakfast of omelette and masala chai was a great start.

Gajner Palace is a lakeside palace-complex adjacent to a sanctuary, in the middle of Thar Desert. It is a heritage property. It features a lush green garden.
