Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and the service was amazing. Proactive follow ups and the hosts were genuinely caring. We checked in very late in the night but the hosts were very cooperative and stayed up late to welcome our family. They also woke up early in the morning to attend to our needs. Rooms were very big, clean and had all the necessary amenities. One small feedback would be to improve the WiFi and upgrade the plug points in the room for international guests. I wish Deepu and Anu all the best. I’m sure they will continue to do a bang up job in welcoming thousands of more guests in the coming future.

Lovely large clean room with spotless modern bathroom. Great sea view from the rooms large double window. Excellent AC and fan kept the room cool. The balcony was fantastic. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and huge quantities each day, served on the balcony. A different breakfast each day (dosa, apam,idli, hoppers, fruit, fresh juice, tea/coffee). Late afternoon tea and battered snacks provided each day. A useful shop downstairs. Over the road, then over a few rocks, it is possible to swim just 50m from the room - fantastic! The main beach is about a km up the road but I was happy with nipping over the wall. Very friendly and kind people running the place. Laxmi speaks excellent English.

This place is perfectly located next to the backwaters and the beach. Great property to live in and relax at the balcony or the terrace of the property overlooking the backwaters. The property is also managed very well and Mr. Lalu handled everything from the check in to explaining us everything about the property and areas surrounding it very well. The property is very well maintained like a five star property and our stay with old parents and a 4 year old was perfect! The breakfast served at the property was homely, fulfilling and exceptional. Great option to stay in if you visit Cherai beach.

This is truly an exceptional stay and a very good value for money! The design and setting of the house was astonishing! Very well maintained building, with a unique architecture that makes you feel cherished and gives you privacy. A real cocoon in Cherai Beach. The patio in front of the room with view on the backwaters, is a perfect spot to chill out. A fan, comfortable seats and mosquito nets gives you a perfect ambiance to have a drink in the evening. The view on the chinese fish nets at the back and lakes is very refreshing! The caretaker Nagaraj was caring of all our needs in a very professional but also delicate way. The two breakfasts we had were so delicious with a mix of local dishes and western foods. Norbert helped us a lot to arrange our visit and thanks to all the team our trip was very smooth and relaxing. Definitely the best place to stay in Cherai! Thanks a lot Vala House, we will definitely come back if we get the chance!

Location was near to the beach and a few restaurants and cafes. The hotel was a newish building, it was clean, spacious and everything worked. Room cleaning was available every day. It had a pool, which we regularly used. Staff were lovely. Restaurant food was really nice. The room had a safe. Shower was good. It had two comfortable armchairs in the room. You can book transport via the front desk. It had a car park.
