The rural setting was perfect for us; we loved being on a working farm. The home was warm and inviting! We arrived when other guests were making their dinners in the full kitchen. A really gorgeous cosy place. Authentic and once a real home. It was my favorite guesthouse in Iceland. It has lots of character and not like the new ones.

Extremely peaceful place, the decoration is great, the whole experience of being able to see all around you while being in your bed or in the hut tub is incredible.

Lovely farm guesthouse! Cute rooms, well enough for a night stay, hot water in the shower does NOT smell of sulfur (contrary to many other hotels). The breakfast buffet was undisputedly the BEST that we had in Iceland (and we stayed in a couple of luxurious places too). The farm animals are cute and everything creates such an inviting and wholesome atmosphere. :)

Found along Route 1, this modern property is 30 minutes’ drive from Borgarnes. Facilities include the 9-hole Gianni Golf Course. All rooms have a satellite TV and free WiFi.

Hotel seems like it’s very new. The room and bathroom were big and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast was nice and the employees were friendly. You can see the northern lights from the hotel so that’s a bonus.

The location was really cool and the facilities were great. The house was very spacious which was nice for our family of 5 travelling. We did not follow the spa instructions and as a result the it was super hot, I would recommend following the instructions provided in the house
