Great location - saw the northern lights and views are very pretty. Room was big and comfy. Heaters worked very well and kitchen was well stocked and everything was very clean. All in all a perfect stay for us!

I only spent one night at Birkifell and in all honesty it was not enough. Birkifell is 100% pure charm and comfort. The cabin is small but comfortable and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was pretty much perfect. Coffee machine with coffee, stovetop, oven and microwave, fridge/freezer, cutlery, crockery and cookware. The beds are so comfortable and warm. I slept amazingly well. And now what is truly wow. Hot tub on the verandah with clear, unobstructed views of the sky which was crystal clear. The hot tub was hot, comfortable and clean. The only sound to be heard was me. I have never experienced such quiet and stillness before. It was invigorating. I was sad to have to leave Birkifell but when I come back to Iceland, Birkifell will be my must stay again. I love everything about Birkifell.

A very nice place, clean, comfortable bed, good breakfast. Nice hosts, we didn't know if we would arrive because there were problems with the road due to heavy rains and they offered to refund our money. But we arrived and felt very good, for dinner we had the best lamb. Thank you!

The breakfast was buffet style and very good. The restaurant is a large rustic building with beautiful views of the property and the glacier.

Nice modern hotel for a good price, a rarity in Iceland! We've paid more for hostels with a shared bathroom. Here we had a clean room with private bathroom, complementary coffee and tea, and a great view to top it off :-) Definitely try the Pakhús restaurant nearby: great langoustines and lamb! We walked toward the minigolf at midnight to see the northern lights and had a great night's sleep afterwards.
