The accomodation is stunning. Perfect for the end of our honeymoon. We stayed four nights and were blown away by the customer service and how inviting everybody was. Having a car is a must as it gives you the freedom to travel around all the neighbouring areas. Would highly recommend the cooking class as well.

Very good and spacious apartment, with everything you'd need for a short or longer stay. Parking nearby, in the historic centre beside all the attractions. Excellent value. Helpful staff, easy check-in and checkout. Thoughtful host, we didn't have time to enjoy the complementary wine however the water was much appreciated.

The hosts Maria and Monica are both wonderful people who go to great lengths to ensure a pleasurable experience. Spent 3 nights in Relais Palazzo Vaglio and it was trully the best time. An absolutely amazing place to stay - I will come back for sure. Ceilings in a very spacious suite was probably 4 meters high, fresques on the walls and mosaics on the floors: keep in mind, this building is from 19th century. Palazzo Vaglio is beauty that is not extravagant or ‘loud’, but historic, real and very unique. The guy who will warmly greet you upon arrival - Jacopo - is also the owner of the place. Jacopo’s attention to detail, generousity and honest care is outstanding; you can not compare this dedication with the work of ‘payed managers’ at the usual mainstreem hotel chains.. The location of Relais Palazzo Vaglio is fantastic: 3 minutes walk to the main square of Nardo. And the city itself is an absolute pearl; the beauty of baroque at its finest simply blew my mind. I also felt that Nardo is still something out of the mainstream touristic radar and it makes the whole experience even more special. The beautiful sand beaches with clear waters are around 10 minutes by car (Jacopo will recommend you best places after listening to your expectations, checking wind directions of that day etc.) and the Restaurant of Roberto (Jacopo will tell you the exact name and the address) was my best choice for tasty and super authentic dinner in Nardo (the food is more important there than the design of the place or else...) Many other beautiful towns and cities are just 30 minutes drive by car from Nardo. I managed it all with having rented car which I easily and for free parked just by the front door of the Palazzo. Also great roof terrace; everything you need in the rooms; good air conditioning; nice breakfast.

A very kind and helpful host who truly cares about his guests. During our stay, there was a parade in the city, and we accidentally parked in the wrong place. The owner immediately informed us about the situation and helped us find another safe parking spot. The property is located close to the Old Town, which was a great convenience. Everything matched the description. The price was appropriate for the quality. I definitely recommend it!

Nardo is a very pretty small town in Puglia.

Nardo is a very pretty small town in Puglia. The historic centre is a traffic restricted zone, but you can park free outside the zone and walk in in a few minutes. The main square is beautiful, with lovely cafes & restaurants and historic places to visit. Quieter than Lecce and much easier to visit/stay in Nardo. Easy location to drive to the main tourist sites in Puglia.

The Antico Macelleria Fai was a fabulous meat restaurant. La Dispensa Dei Raccomand was also tasty. The city illuminated their architectural gems at night, and it created such a charming atmosphere.

Nardo is a quaint town with many churches and historic...

Nardo is a quaint town with many churches and historic sights to see. We unfortunately were there on Easter Monday and 99 percent of the town was closed, so we did not get to experience all it has to offer. One thing I noticed is their local made bread is different than other places in Italy. It’s more dense, hard and thinly sliced. It’s not my favorite. Walking around the historic center, I didn’t get of welcoming to outsiders . As people pass you in the street they don’t say “hello” or greet you. Sometimes they will look at you as if to say, “who are you and what are you doing here”. If you can put that aside, its churches are old and wonderful to see. There are several very nice historic hotels and good restaurants to experience and enjoy.

The location was the best for us.

The location was the best for us. Only a seven minute walk to our friends house. And ten minutes to the city center (from the apartment)inside the castle wall. The food was especially good! Not your usual tourist attraction. Be prepare for the daily "siesta". Most places will be closed for lunch. And reopen around 4pm. Even the streets are empty! But after the Rome Jubilee 2025, Nardo was the perfect place for us to relax and unwind. Thank you Simone, we appreciate your quick responses and checking in on us.

Nardo` is a beautiful, friendly small city, with the full flavour of Puglia, but well away from the tourist crush of Lecce, Brindisi and Bari. The central historical area is especially beautiful and is in a pedestrian zone that is an absolute pleasure to walk around in. The rest of city has wide, tree-covered avenues, pleasant shopping streets, great markets and friendly people. And the beaches are only a few km down the road. Highly recommended.

The hotel has the cozy feel of a hostel. It's conveniently located between the sea and Nardo. We had the opportunity to join them for dinner, which was delicious. The rooms are basic but adequate. The owner speaks English and is very helpful. The breakfast was delightful! All in all, we had a great time here.
