When you imagine that you travel to a friends who lives at the village in Europe, what would you expect? Probably village life, which is different than the one in the city. What would you expect when you travel to desert? Probably much less confortable place than you can find here at MalakoRum. Very confortable rooms, european type of toilet, hot shower (we vere there just at the end of calendar year - so in winter time). Wow and such delicious dinner freshly cooked by the hosts. The stay for us was like visiting friends who moved to desert to farm there. So we expected animals around, and we loved it. When you see beduins next the desert streets they have also animals around. So the experience from the desert life was way more much authentic then the games played to tourist elsevere. We expected and loved that touch of authenticity. Jo was very kind all the time to explain all the things we were curious about - desert life,geology, history etc. and she turn to be very rich well of knowledge. She offered us a hiking tour in the mountains around and it was unexpectedly experience with a little climbing at the top of near hill top with wonderful view. Jafar may seem to be harsh and bitter, as the desert fruit are, on the first glance. But when you let to know him a little bit more you will find the cool and broad hearted man you can love. We had four-wheeler car so we wanted to travel more in desert, but without any experience of desert ride. Jo and Jafar helped us to plan our little desert trip, just for the time we had. That trip was also wonderful experience which we would have not undergo without the help of our "desert" friends. Thank you for encouraging and helping.

The camp is very nice and the staff was really nice 'They gave us a free dinner and they give us discounts on other activities ,we really liked the the vibes there it was an amazing experience ,

I was impressed by the hospitality of our hosts. Being in the desert was magical. They wanted us to enjoy it to the fullest. They recommended an overnight trip to the desert and a six-hour tour. We also loved the bubble. It is air-conditioned, allowing you to cool your bubble or warm it up if you are visiting during cooler times.

Our stay was great. They picked us up with a jeep at their parking lot and even though we arrived later than we said we would be, they waited for us before the dinner was served. Food was great. The rooms are quite new and they are facing the desert so that it is possible to see the sunrise. They offer tours as well.

If you love wide open views, this is perfect. The tour was well organized and relaxing. The food was nice, especially the dinner. Everyone was polite and helpful

We really were out in the middle of the desert, but we had every amenity we could ask for! Our “martian dome” room was too cool for school— and cool with a.c. too. Nice n’ new bathroom too! We loved sitting outside the room in the morning, on our bedouin cushions to watch the fantastic desert sun rise as we sipped our coffee. This is a great venue to see Wadi Rum’s other-worldly rock formations with a ride on a jeep, camel, or horse. On top of it all, the breakfast was excellent, and our bedouin dinner was a superb feast in the huge, central Martian. You really feel like you’re in a very far away land and time— but with really nice staff to keep everything magical!

Rue Armouni Camp is a wonderful camp by all standards. From the moment of booking, Mr. Abdullah contacted us and provided us with all the information about the place of stay, meals, and timings. He also gave us a suggestion for activities such as jeep tours, balloon rides, and stargazing with several dinners that fit our stay. The dinner was delicious and varied. We loved the traditional dish they cooked underground. The rooms are beautiful and clean and contain everything a personح needs, including a refrigerator, air conditioner, and hairdryer. The bathroom is large and clean. Everything was perfect.

We had a great time at this camp. Everything is new and perfect. The rooms are new and clean. Great staff. I had a nice jeep trip experience at a good price. I enjoyed looking at the stars. Food is prepared in a hole in the sand. it is delicious. I recommend it is flexible. Thank you, Atef

Ali is a bedouine guy that lives in Wadi Rum. He lives with his family but he has a tent in front of his parent’s house, and in this tent he welcome the couchsurfers to the desert life. He also has another house where he host the guests for a couple of nights. Ali is friendly and can create a glimpse of the bedouine atmosphere in his place. He does tours to the desert with his truck and he charges a good price for his guests.
