We enjoyed the location since it is located in old Amman city which is full of local shops, restaurants and a lot of action. The staff was the greatest, Khalid, Homan and Ash helped us since we arrived with getting transportation, telling us places to visit etc. They even held our luggages for one night, when we went to Petra and Wadi Rum. They found the best transportation to go to Petra and Wadi Rum. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Having breakfast included was a must for us, and very good.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff are amazing very friendly but still professional. Our plane was delayed and my communication to the hotel had not got through to them. They sent the second driver to pick us up at our new arrival time. Ahmed picked us up and was very friendly, lovely to meet after a long flight and sleeping on airport floor. The hotel manager upgraded us to a suite which was amazing. The rooms very clean and comfortable. Rami greeted us with such enthusiasm and energy. He arranged a fabulous trip the next day to Jerash and surrounding areas including Ajloun Castle. Omar was our driver and he was great like Ahmed. You felt very comfortable with his driving. Tarq and Nour were also extremely helpful at reception. The breakfasts are lovely with a wide choice of food. Unfortunately we didn't have time to do the spa. If we ever get back to Jordan we would choose to stay here again.

FAQs about hotels in Amman

Forward-Thinking Royal Capital

The rapidly expanding Jordanian capital, Amman is an economic powerhouse spread over various hills. Atop one sits the Citadel, containing remains of the Roman Temple of Hercules, a Byzantine church and an 8th-century mosque and palace.

Also here is the Jordan Archaeological Museum, and at the foot of the hill is a Roman theatre, part built in the rock. Modern housing blocks surround it, but the most avant-garde architecture is in the developing Al Abdali business district.

The tallest Amman structures will be the Jordan Gate Towers and will house one of the city’s high-rise hotels. International brands of restaurants and bar can be found alongside more traditional cuisine in Amman, and many eateries are in the large Mecca Mall and Grand City Mall, which also has a cinema.

Nearby is the desert-like vegetation of Al Hussein National Park, and the Royal Automobile Museum which features cars of King Hussein, ruler for over 40 years and after whom are named city sights such as the King Hussein Business Park and mosque. The King Abdullah I Mosque has a beautiful blue dome, while Abu Darweesh Mosque at Amman’s highest point is a striking black-and-white structure.

Booking.com’s Amman accommodation includes 5-star hotels, apartments in the embassy district, and cheap hostels, all within easy reach of Queen Alia Airport.

I love the people, food, culture and the experiences of being in Jordan, but the capital clearly has a pollution problem. If there were ever a valid argument for implementing climate controls and restricting traffic in capital cities, one need look no further than Amman. I would encourage the authorities to invest in renewable energy and think about switching to sustainable forms of transportation. The natural ecosystems has been destroyed there.

Jordanians are full of fun and a trip to Rainbow Street is a great way to see their vibrant lives, to dine with locals in one of the many restaurants or haggle in a silver shop. There is an abundance of cultural things to do. Citadel, amphitheater, mosque and museums. Even if you not a fan of museums, the Museum of Jordan is brilliant. Interactive, educational and entertaining. Amman is a bustling city, very hilly but inexpensive taxis are the best option to get about. (Use uber to find best prices if you want to avoid haggling). 3 days simply isn’t long enough.

My stay at the Jawad hotel was exceptional, my room was very clean with a high quality of furnishings, also a city view of the bustling streets below. The hotel is located in the heart of the downtown area, and is easy walking distance from the major historical sights of Amman. Mohmmed on reception sent me a WhatsApp on arrival, with detailed information regarding local restaurants, currency exchange ect. They can also provide itinerary packages for onward travel around Jordan if required.

The Hilton Amman really deserves its 5 stars! We got a room upgrade to the 14th floor, with an amazing view over the city in the eastern direction. Even though it's not located in the 1st circle/touristic center, it's very close to the center (compared to other hotels of this category), and at the same time it's conveniently reachable with the car (they also have valet parking!) The breakfast was great, with lots of different options, even granola and pastries.

We stayed for 4 nights in Pasha hotel. The location is great to see the major sites in Amman and close to restaurants and down town. We booked several trips through Pasha Hotel although probably could get them cheaper if you shopped around it was more convient and less hassle. The breakfast was very basic same as the rooms. The staff very helpful and always tried there best to help
