Wonderful temple turned lodge. Beautiful and calming atmosphere with very kind hosts who are doing a great effort to accommodate for English speakers. In the evening there was a matsuri dance too, very skilled and interactive. We highly recommend the dinner and breakfast, it has some of the most tasty variants of soy beans I’ve ever eaten - especially the Yuba and Natto.

This was an outstanding experience. The chief priest and his family are amazing. The rooms are big and spacious, the food is very good. Minobu as an area is so beautiful, with large mountains covered with green cedartrees and nestled in between are all the important temples. The chief priest did an astounishing work in introducing us to the buddhist practices. The walk to the morning prayer, 04:45 in the morning is very very rewarding.

Situated just steps away from JR Shimobe Onsen Station, this hotel boasts various natural hot spring baths that date back 2000 years.

Great experience of Japanese onsen, delicious dinner and breakasft buffet, great outdoor onsen, traditional rooms, not crowded. Ice cresm for free, mochi making and happy hour with footbath included. Lots to enjoy!

Great location, right next to the shores of Lake Motosu! We were able to get there by bus - just be prepared for some difficulty getting around if you're not bringing a car (we were supposed to have one, but the plan fell through last minute). Thankfully the hotel staff were able to provide free electric bikes for us! Good buffet dinner - it was quite busy, but the staff kept everything well stocked. The rec room with table tennis / pool / darts was a great touch!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel – the atmosphere is warm, stylish, and relaxing. The staff were always friendly and attentive, making me feel very welcome. Excellent service and a great vibe make this place easy to recommend!
