By far the best stay we ever had in Sri Lanka! First of all the accomandation is so luxorious. The whole vibe of the rooms is so nice, starting from the shower (which has warm water!) to the XL bed with AC and a lovely tea/coffee station in the room. Waking up to the sunshine was the best. We enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the wildlife. The pool was so clean and the staff was so friendly. He always helped us with organising and made delicious breakfast and lunch!

A hidden gem above Kandy’s lights, this place is totally worth it. In every room, you’ll get a bird’s eye view of Kandy and the rooms are positioned such that you’ll get to see the sunrise. The place is clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. You could truly tell that this is owned by an architect that paid close attention to details. Kogul is an absolute superstar, and we found every staff member friendly, respectful and attentive.. There aren’t very many hotels I have been to where I felt that “I could live here”. The Summit made us feel that way. P.s. they offer candle light dinner at rooftop, that is well worth it.

10 minutes walk for the center of city yes when you come back it’s a little steep but not that bad. I’m 66 with a bad knee but didn’t see any problems going back and forth to the city.

Amazing hotel, everything looks beautiful, clean and extremely well maintained, you have excellent views and the hotel staff was one the most kind, helpful people we met across our different stays in Sri Lanka. We were quite sad we could not enjoy this place longer, as we had to move to another city and continue our travel. I would absolutely recommend that you book your stay at Elegant Hotel!

A beautiful house away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy. A tuk tuk to the city is quickly organized and only takes a few minutes. Clean rooms, a great bathroom and nice communal areas make the Gangula Villa a great place to stay. Particularly noteworthy is the helpfulness of the owner Dinesh, who helped us with the airport shuttle, train tickets and all other transportation. Many thanks again!
