LLT Wilpattu is a beautiful place to stay, set in the middle of a lovely garden full of birds – a peaceful and natural environment. The food was excellent, and the service was always warm and welcoming. The owner arranged a fantastic safari for us and even purchased the tickets online in advance, which saved us from waiting in a long queue at the park entrance (around 45 minutes). A special thanks goes to Raju, whose ever-present smile made our stay even more enjoyable.

I can’t rate my stay highly enough. This is my second visit here. I came back to see if I could find the elusive sloth bear and I did on my first days safari I was lucky enough to have Anton and Randy as guides. Also saw a variety of birds and a leopard walking in a distance on the road, a truly beautiful sight. Second day I went with Chamod who was an excellent spotter of birds even saw a leopard on the beach across the lake. Of course this is a National Park and you have to be lucky to see leopards and bears but the quality of the guide is a must. This is why I returned to Anton and his team. The food was excellent and bountiful. Breakfast the morning I left was a feast . Nothing is too much trouble, one evening they even arrange a birthday cake for a guest after dinner. Water is provided also there was never a problem if I wanted coffee or boiling water for my tea. Anton is passionate about wildlife and his customers, you can really feel it. At the end of my stay he even took me to the bus stop and made sure I got on the right bus. I can’t thank the team enough for another amazing 3 night stay. You can go wrong with your stay here. Excellent accommodation at a budget price.

The owner and her family are such warm people that made us feel truly welcome. The food at the hotel was great! The hotel itself was close to the park, and had a very zen feel. The hotel has only been open for 3 months so everything was brand new. We booked a safari with the hotel and this was great as well, with an amazing breakfast to go. We would recommend it to everyone!

Super nice, comfortable and clean room in the midst of nature. We had a self cooked dinner which was delicious!! Very nice staff. I can really recommend this accommodation if you want to do the safari since it’s super close to the park entrance. We will miss Guri the dog of the property 🥲

Getting to Ceylon Wilpattu safaris & lodging feels like entering the forest: the road is a bit narrow and bumpy, but when you get to the entrance you discover a very well-kept garden and very pleasant facilities. The warm welcome from Roshan, his wife and the staff was truly pleasant: they supported our requests promptly and kindly. We had dinner at the property, hosted in a cool veranda. The food had been adapted to Western tastes but always maintaining the typical flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine: excellent dinner. Breakfast was also rich and pleasant. The rooms are in bungalows in which rest is ensured by spotty clean and reasonably spacious rooms, immersed in a very quiet and pleasant place. Complimentary water bottles are also available in the fridge in the room. This property is highly recommended.

I had an incredible stay at Tribe Wilpattu Eco Lodge and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Wilpattu National Park! The lodge is in a perfect location, just a short drive from the park entrance, making it super convenient for early morning safaris. The rooms were cozy, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed, providing a peaceful retreat after a long day of exploring. The eco-friendly concept adds a unique charm to the experience. The food was delicious, with a great variety of fresh and flavorful dishes. Every meal felt like a home-cooked delight! What truly stood out was the amazing hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Their warmth and attentiveness made the stay even more special. One of the highlights of our trip was the private guided safari arranged by the lodge. Having a knowledgeable ranger accompany us made all the difference—we saw incredible wildlife, including leopards, elephants, and an abundance of bird species. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! If you're looking for a comfortable, well-located, and well-managed eco-lodge near Wilpattu National Park, Tribe Wilpattu Eco Lodge is the place to be!
