It was the best hotel we stayed in so far in sri lanka. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfortable. Overall the hotel looked really nice with a nice pool. We would definitely recommend everyone to stay here

Host was amazing! Went above and beyond for us. Price also included a delicious dinner and breakfast - worth the money just for that alone. Host also sorted out our safari and let us check out late after this. Would 100% recommend this property.

We stayed as a couple at Saffron Lake Yala for 3 nights. The facilities were excellent - we stayed in one of the villas and it was spotlessly clean, with great finishings/facilities - spacious, comfortable bed, fan and A/C, hot water (not warm, hot!) and good pressure. There is no dining room area as such, food is served to you on the terrace of your villa or room. Staff, in particular the manager Roshan, were very friendly and helpful - arranging tuk tuks, travel advice, preparing food, hot drinks, etc. We also arranged our full-day safari to Yala National Park through the hotel (with a driver/guide called Ruwan @ Wild Angle Sri Lanka) - which was fantastic and again competitively priced. Location of the hotel was beautiful and peaceful, right on the lakeside, which you can wander along to birdwatch/see the sunset. Is not centrally located - is a long walk or 20min tuk tuk (1000LKR) from the centre of Tissa, but safari and taxi can pick up/drop off directly at the hotel.

We loved everything with the hotel. The facilities, the spacious and comfortable rooms, the exceptional service from the staff, the food and the pool area. We would love to come back and we warmly recommend this hotel. We also want to say special thank you to the hard working staff. They made our stay just perfect! We stayed here for three nights and it was wonderfull! A lovely host, a very nice room and fantastic surroundings. Randy took us three times on a tour (for free) where he explained us a lot about the region, the plants and the animals. It is a good place for bird watching! It is a quiet place, but still a good spot for doing a safari at Yala. At the evening he and his wife cook local dishes with own products from the garden. An absolut recommendation, especially when you want to see more than Yala NP.

One of the best hotels I stayed at in Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰 Situated in the best location. The sunset is very nice. Very calm place. Good staff. Pubudu is very kind and treated us very well. Safari tour was also perfect. Very clean rooms with clean bathrooms. Perfect & Thank you for your hospitality!!
