Cleaniness and calme. The room was big enough , clean and the bed was comfortable. The managment is there for any help you need. Everyone was helpful and wanted your stay to be unforgetable. My little girl had her birthday on the same day of check in and iI asked the hotel if they can prepare something for her and they said with pleasure. They prepared a small birthday party for her. Really you made her day. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for the nice birthday surprise which made my liitle girl so happy. Thank you very much for everyone who involved in the preparation and participated in the birthday party. Big thank you! I owe all of you a visit to this nice hotel and stay with you couple of nights next time when I come to Fes Incha allah. Thank you very much Mrs. Hajiba and all of the other staff. Big thanks.

I stayed there for 3 nights, and it was one of my life's most memorable experiences. Salk isn't just a host – he's a genuinely warm soul who welcomes you like family. This was beyond what I expected, On my last day, I had to leave for the airport at 4 AM, Salk and his team arranged a reliable taxi, printed my tickets (which was necessary for boarding), and despite the early hour, they accompanied me to the taxi station, and they even packed us a breakfast to take away. the house is a hidden gem in Fes, a beautiful riad with amazing food and a terrace with an amazing view, Thank you for everything

Everything great. I extended my stay twice because I feel at home. The Riad is really beautiful and clean. The suite number 2 is huge and exquisite. The staff is exceptionally caring and very professional. I watched Mustafa, Meryeme, and Kenza go out of their way to cater to all the guests. I am still here because I love it.

Fès is a kaleidoscope of colours, smells and sensations, and its intricate urban design is an allegory of its own identity. Live up to the pace of this ancient Babel, and go the whole hog immerging yourself into its 1001 Nights atmosphere. Check out the Booking.com hotel deals in fascinating Fès and enjoy!

Commonly spelled Fez, this city was Morocco’s capital during Middle Ages. The city was originally composed of two separate settlements located along the banks of the Jawhar River. Madinat Fas was founded in 789 by Idris I, while Al-'Aliya was founded by his son Idris II. Both towns grew autonomously until the Almoravids unified them in 1070 under the name ‘Fas’. The city is still considered a beacon of the Islamic civilisation, due to its ancient ‘madrasas’ Islamic colleges.

The Old Town or ‘medina’ has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, representing one of the best preserved historic centres in the world. The famous ‘riads’ or small traditional hotels are located in the medina, which is also called Fes Al-Bali.

The city can be reached through Fès Saïss Airport, or from the airports in Casablanca and Rabat via railway or bus connection. Whether you’re looking for a luxury hotel in Fez New Town or a historic ‘riad’ in the medina, don’t miss Booking.com’s wide offering!

The best of Fez, Morocco's artisan city, includes exploring the ancient, car-free medina to witness skilled artisans at work in traditional souks, visiting the famous Chouara Tannery to see leather goods production, and experiencing crafts like pottery, metalwork, and weaving. Visitors can also immerse themselves in local crafts through hands-on workshops or by shopping for unique, handmade goods, such as rugs, oils and spices at women-only cooperatives. The local food is great and also the cafe' and music concerts. I attended the Fez Festival of Sufi Culture and World Spirituality, an unforgettable, rich experience.

The most amazing city.

The most amazing city. Have been a number of times, and love the fact that I’m still finding places that I haven’t seen before. Especially loved the local markets, seeing the production of the embroidery that embellishes the beautiful clothes, and the sensory overload of the smells, sights, sounds and overall vibe. Can’t wait to be back.

Fes is a ghastly tourist trap.

Fes is a ghastly tourist trap. Two nights will be plenty if you must go but if you skip it then the sky will not fall.Meknes and Sale( near Rabat) would be less touristed esp. Sale` .I could have spent more time walking in the Atlas mountains. The chance of becoming over saturated with all Moorish markets , tiled palaces and ancient Madrassas is high in Urban Morocco. Get off the beaten path !! Fes is also very HOT. Don't go in the April to October period. Book a half day guided walking tour of the old city and then get out!

Fez is a fascinating city, full of life, commerce, and talented artisans. To appreciate Fez, come with an open-mind, ready to explore a world that in many ways hasn't changed in hundreds of years. A good guide can help you appreciate the history and beauty of some of the historic buildings (the medrasa, the tanneries, the oldest university), the quality of the handicrafts and the way of life of the people who make the medina their home. Visiting the Fez medina is an intense and rewarding experience.

Early September was the wrong time to go there (my mistake) - far too hot to be enjoyable. Getting around in the Medina was very difficult and sometimes frustrating. There one can easily fall into the trap of being accosted by self-styled guides who will take you to various shops and ask you for money at the end. Perhaps for an older traveller it would have been better to lodge outside the Medina and visit it from there with an official tour. On the positive side, some of the sites were very beautiful and the people mostly very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful riad and a true oasis in the heart of the medina in Fes. The staff were friendly and helpful. The photos of the Dekkakine Suite do not do the actual room justice. The level of detail in the tiling and carvings were incredible. We enjoyed the lofted bed, spacious bathroom, and the big windows that looked out onto the garden. Breakfast was delicious and each item was brought to us in lovely containers and tajines. After traveling around Morocco for a few a week, we felt like we could spend all day in the serene and lush courtyard.

It was an amazing place more like a home with fantastic artistic work. Our host Geoffroy made us feel so special and comfortable unlike typical hotels and guesthouses. He provided us list of all places (along with routes) to visit in medina which usually is not easy to find on your own as there are thousand of streets and alleys in Fes medina. Mourad prepared delicious breakfast for us which we had on the terrace overlooking beautiful Fes city. Thanks Geoffroy for everything!

Fes medina and the area around medina are like labyrinths so it's quite confusing for tourists. But the staff are very kind, just contact them in advance and they will provide you with easy guidance. The location is very strategic, quite easy to walk everywhere. The breakfast is the standard typical breakfast in Morocco. Definitely will comeback to this place if I come back to Fes.
