The location, staff, and service were excellent. We also enjoyed the spaciousness of our room, the quality of food, and the selection of the trips offered, ranging from swimming with local fauna, visit to other islands (resort island, uninhabited island, sand bank) to spending time with the locals (cooking class, fishing). Everything about LVIS Blancura was beyond my expectations though I booked it after reading the reviews on Booking.com and other websites. Pleasantly surprised that many boarders there, staying for weeks, are repeat visitors who call LVIS their home away home! I just returned from my 8 day vacation and couldn't stop myself from posting this review as I want everyone looking for a trip to Baa Atoll with a comfortable stay within a reasonable budget to just go for this ! The property is managed by brothers Lisham, Visham, Isham who treat their staff and the guests as a family. They take great efforts to see that every one is well taken care of not just in accommodation but also in Snorkelling and Scuba diving visits. They have a boat to take the guests for half/full day picnics to various coral reefs, sand banks. The boat crew are excellent in helping us to spot the Manta rays, the turtles, the sharks during the snorkelling trips. The food provided at LVIS is one of the best in the island. Though the menu is eggs, fish and chicken dominant, being vegetarian, my food was prepared separately without them and I never felt I was missing anything. And about the location - you can't ask for more! It's bang on the bikini beach ! We chose the sea view budget room from which it's less than 50 steps to reach the beach (yes i counted:)). I stopped wearing any footwear during the entire stay and enjoyed the sand and water under and over my feet :). The jetty/harbour is 5 minute walk to the right side of LVIS, from where you catch the boats for scuba or snorkelingbir visits to other islands. All the scuba diving centres, cafés, supermarket are in 5-10 minute walking distance. To the left side of LVIS, it's 5 minute walk to the sunset viewing point.

Everything 😊 Location was great! ! It’s right on the beach - 5 second walk 😊 Stuff was amazing. Super nice everyone! I can tell only good things about this hotel. It’s completely new. We had a sea view room with a balcony thanks to the owner that upgraded our room! It’s amazing to wake up and see the ocean 🌊 Has a private beach. Food in the restaurant is great! Breakfast is delicious. 😋 I felt like people care about us and accommodated everything we needed. AC worked great. Shower is big . EVERYTHING WAS GREAT! It’s super clean and smells good 😊 I am a world traveler and seen a lot and very picky. For the first time I had zero negative experience for 10 days! Totally recommend! Thank you for such good care of us. 🤗

This is a small local island. It’s quiet and simple.

This is a small local island. It’s quiet and simple. The people are friendly. The beach and the sea is beautiful. There are a few restaurants on the island. We have limited choice on food. We recommend the restaurant called Moonshell as it provides more international food and the price is reasonable. There is another cafe near the pier where we can eat local Maldivian food. The cafe is popular among locals. The island is very close to the Manta point called Hanifaru Bay. We recommend this manta excursion as this is a wonderful once in a lifetime experience. It is convenient to bring cash and exchange some Maldivian money to spend and pay for the meals.

A local island so don't expect the resort life - the beaches look picture perfect, but the streets are full of trash. You can experience and learn about the local lifestyle, traditions etc. which is a big plus in my opinion. I read that the house reef is one of the best in the Maledives and I can absolutely vouch for that.

Maalhos is a beautiful island surrounded by white coral...

Maalhos is a beautiful island surrounded by white coral beaches. It has a forest full of palms and tropical trees and plants. If you visit it in the evening, use mosquito repellent. Local villagers are nice and friendly. There is a bikini beach with sun beds and amazing access to turquoise colour water. Beaches are white sand and on several parts of the island you can find corals and shells on the beach. There is a diving center, you can rent a water scooter or go for a snorkeling trip. Snorkeling was an amazing experience. We saw tropical fish, sting rays, corals and big turtles while snorkeling. We went for a dolphin watch and saw dozens of dolphins swimming and jumping in the sea. There is an isolated island close to Maalhos with beautiful turquoise lagoons. Unfortunately there was also quite a lot of trash when we visited and the forest is full of mosquitoes, so don't forget to take your repellent if you visit. During some months you can watch mantas. We had the luck and the blue bioluminescence plankton 3 or 4 nights on the beach, it was a breath taking experience. We stayed and took breakfast, lunch and dinner in Manta Reserve Hotel, which is the best place to stay in Maalhos. You can walk around the island in 45 minutes.

Small local islands for chilling, It has everything you need with step accessibility. There are several guest houses, dive center, bikini beach, jungle side and beautiful coral reef. Highly recommend for short and longer stay.
