The shop owner is one of the nicest people I've ever met and an exceptional host! He made sure to make us feel welcome and recommend us places to go and even drove us to popular tourist spots in kudat! Abosulte Legend, even took us out to dinner for seafood on our last day. Couldnt have asked for a better host, always made sure we were topped up on toilet paper, water etc... and even offered to do our laundry for us. Cant stress how amazing he was, felt like we had made a new friend by the end of our stay, highly recommend this homestay if you want to experience kudat to the fullest. SHOUTOUT JACKY!!! UR THE GOAT <3

Right on the beach. Super quiet. Had the entire Long Beach to myself. stayed in beach hut and while simple was very enjoyable. the are tarps to drop down if you want to enclose but I just left it open. Owner brought me a nice mattress, pillows and blanket to sleep with. Meals generous and made with love. Attentive owner. Boat trip up the nearby river was nice. constant sweeping efforts keeps grounds looking really nice. Ferries in either direction to/from Banggi twice/day. Contact owner at phone listed and he’ll meet you at the ferry for transport.

It is located in a small rustic.village in Northern tip area of borneo, about 20 km from the town of KUDAT.. There are no shopping facilities, only a cpl very small shops for snacks and water etc. You need to make contact with the owner Udea to help arrange tspt or you hire a car. The rooms are comfortable and are right on the waters edge. Udea is a Dive Master so will take you out snorkelling etc if asked His mother makes all meals which are of local food. There are no credit card facilities so you need to bring cash It is typical village life, so chill out and enjoy it

Howard has created a beautiful lodge intertwined with the surrounding environment, going above and beyond for any guests needs, the wildlife reserve he has created is fantastic for bird spotting and if you're lucky enough to be there when he does his edible and medicinal plants tour and traditional rungus lunch don't hesitate.

Location and accommodation is not probably not to everyone...

Location and accommodation is not probably not to everyone liking. If you like unpolished and very basic right at the sea than this can be your place to chill out. Tides over here are somewhere between 1,5-2 meters.

Apart from the tip of borneo, nothing much to do.

Apart from the tip of borneo, nothing much to do. Beach will not be so beautiful during Dec as the weather is bad. All the beautiful beach and blue water that you see in pictures do not apply if there is a tropical storm at the area. The Kudat down is boring and not as I have imagined. Tip, only go during good weather when the sea is calmer.

The friendly people, the sandy beaches and the coconut trees...

The friendly people, the sandy beaches and the coconut trees everywhere give Kudat district a special, relaxed, holiday feel, distinct from the rest of the west coast of Sabah. The Tip of Borneo is the focal point for beach goers, with its white sands and clear water, but any drive provides interesting insights into the local ways of life.

Abang was very helpful. They went out of their way to help us when our bike got punctured and it was raining. We moved from West Borneo to the East and this has to be the best stay in Borneo. A bit far from the city but that's what makes this place special. You can go for a swim or snorkel just 50m away from the guest house. If you are a guest travelling to Kudat, please maintain the cleanliness and the safety of aquatic life. The locals are working hard to preserve the same.

Relaxing stay at Upper deck hotel last night. Staff welcoming. Some of staff spoke English Parking outside for car, few reserved places for hotel parking. Otherwise there's a few public car spaces. Stairs to room, I was 2 floors up. Good aircon. Large room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Wifi was strong. Clean towels and sheets. Bathroom good size. Shower pressure good and hot water. View out window was of harbour and fishing vessels. Kettle in room Supermarket next door.

This resort has a beautiful view of the Sulu Sea. And it can be quite windy, too, but we liked it. Quite a few golfers frequent this place during our stay. The rooms has old furnishings but still quite comfortable. This hotel has a coway drinking water in the hallway to fill up the hotel glass bottle in the room. So no plastic bottles are used.

The location is good. Watson and DIY just beside the hotel. The restaurant just behind the hotel. We forgot to collect our deposit, the staff called us many times to inform about the deposit. Honest and trustworthy. Staffs are nice.

Looked great online with reviews. Was so excited to stay, however not only is it on a different island to Kudat (that is not stipulated any where) so a 1.5hr ferry’s ride then a 2hr car journey
