FAQs about hotels in Singapore

Asia in a Compact Package

Clean, compact and compelling, Singapore seamlessly combines the best of Asia. Different cultures and cuisines live side by side, while maintaining their own identity.

Behind the bright lights of Chinatown is cheap and delicious dim sum, while Little India is a sensation for the senses. Wander past the pastel-painted facades of Malay-dominated Geylang Seari for a taste of days gone by, then stop off at the Colonial-style Raffles Hotel, birthplace of the Singapore Sling cocktail.

For a retreat from the hustle and bustle, take the cable car to the sandy beaches of Sentosa, an island just south of the city center. Also here is Universal Studios Singapore, a theme park brimming with the magic of the movies.

As you’d expect from the host of the world’s only Formula 1 night race, once night falls, Singapore is still very much alive. Its Night Safari is a zoo providing the rare chance to see nocturnal animals going about their business.

Although small enough to see on foot, Singapore has an efficient public transport system which extends as far as Singapore Changi Airport. With a choice of Singapore accommodations ranging from budget hostels to luxury hotels, Booking.com is bound to have the right choice for your holiday.

Fabulous, vibrant city with so much to do.

Fabulous, vibrant city with so much to do. Great mix of culture, history, family activities. A foodie paradise. Standards for everything are very high, it’s clean, people are helpful, easy to get around. Travelled as a family with teens and we all loved it. There was far more to do than we could cram into out 4 days! We ate at a mixture of food courts, malls, hotel and local places. Check out Michelin guide and food blogs for recommendations. Used Grab to get cars around city for a reasonable price. Lots of great sightseeing is free and the city is really lovely at night when it is cooler so enjoy the evenings walking around the marina etc.

Public rail transport excellent.

Public rail transport excellent. When you need to use a taxi they are reasonably priced. We love the food. Always treat ourselves to Little India and many other eating outlets. Gardens. Botanical as well Gardens By the Bay.(Of course the big ticket items at Gardens By the Bay are amazing but there is also so much more to see and explore there. Museums are world class. (The honouring of Singapore's history). I like to seek out the smaller local retail outlets. The big name shops I am not interested in but I do love the buzz of Orchard Road. The Singaporeans consists of many cultures and we have never met a rude or nasty person and we have been to Singapore many times over the years. They live in Harmony. Finally I admire the Government's social housing policy .Our country could learn from a few Singaporean policies.

My trip to Singapore was an incredible experience that perfectly balanced culture, cleanliness, and convenience. From the moment I landed, I was struck by how organized everything felt, from Changi airport Terminal 1 I went straight to amazing Jewel. Everything is convenient as you can ride a bus, MRT or taxi (grab). The city is spotless, well-maintained, and feels safe. Despite being a modern city; skyscraper and the famous Marina bay Sands, there’s greenery everywhere like my beautiful view from my hotel room. Must visit Singapore island St. John, Lazaros and Kusu island, you can buy a ticket from Marina south pier. It's a great escape from the city.

Singapore is always a great destination for us for a short stay and we come through quite often mostly during transit to other countries . Changi is one of our favorite airports with easy access to City. Taxi service is exceptionally good and people in general are always warm and friendly. Shoppers Paradise though this time I felt prices were a bit steep.

Singapore is beautiful, clean and most of all very safe.

Singapore is beautiful, clean and most of all very safe. The cuisine is good and diverse with western, Singaporean, chinese, indian and Malaysian. Travellers will be spoilt for choice. This applies to the shopping malls too. I ate at Skai Restaurant, floor 70 at the Swissotel, the view was just amazing. Other restaursnts include the Masses at the Capitol, Chaijms opposite the Carlton hotel. It is easy to get around either in taxis or Grab, the equivalent of Uber. The buses and metro also run quite well, I was told but didn't get to go on them. Places I visited include the Marina Bay, Chinatown, Little India. There is a bus sightseeing and boat cruises.

Excellent rooms. One of the very few hotels in Singapore with a large family room. You can see it is recently and thoughtfully renovated. Very clean bathrooms. Excellent room service. Lovely breakfast with minimal repetition. Very friendly staff. Very close to Tanjong Pagar MTR station. Lot of take always and cheap restaurants nearby.Great location. Highly recommended.
