THE PERFECT STAY!! First of all a big thank you to Esat, Fouad, Baran, Ertan and Ahmet for the kind hospitality. They made our stay smooth and easy. It honestly felt like we were at home away from home. The hotel is very modern and decor relaxing. Our room had every amenity anyone could possibly need! Bathroom and shower are very clean and we had fresh towels daily. The room is spacious enough to fit all our luggage and still have space to walk around easily. Location is central and made transportation extremely easy. The Gulhane train station is right across the street and the T1 tram line is quick 2 minute walk away. Surrounding the hotel are lively streets full of restaurants and shops. Hagia Sophia is walking distance away. Thank you to the friendly staff for guiding us around the Sirkeci area since it was our first stay there. Highly recommend!!

I traveled with my family and we stayed 5 nights in this hotel. This was one of the best hotels I've been to. Solely cause of the location, which was phenomenal! You will hardly find a better one in the center of Istanbul. It is only a 2-minute walk from Taksim Square, where all public transport stations are located, whether you go by metro or bus. We had a room directly facing the Galata Tower. Also, the staff is so friendly! Especially Mr. Muneeb and Mr. Ahmet. Next time we will return to the same hotel!

FAQs about hotels in Istanbul

The Best of Asia and Europe

The city of Istanbul offers a trip unlike any other, encompassing Asian and European cultures to create a heady mix of art, music and food. The amazing Old Town and the Sultanahmet are home to iconic Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. More history is hidden in the Topkapi Palace, where you can glimpse the splendor and opulence of Turkey’s Ottoman heritage.

Take a stroll through the historic center or the busy Taksim Square before watching the sun set behind countless mosques and minarets. Local fish markets and numerous restaurants lining the bridge to Galata offer the Golden Horn’s daily catch.

If you prefer the fine art of bargaining to fine art, lose yourself in the Grand Bazar and maybe you’ll emerge with a hookah, some Turkish coffee, or even a carpet. The Spice Bazar further immerses you in the sights, smells, and tastes of Turkish culture.

Getting to Istanbul is an easy trip from Ataturk International Airport or Sabiha Gokcen Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel on the Asian side or a budget hostel in Taksim Square, Booking.com has over 1,000 great accommodations for a vacation in Istanbul.

Istanbul is beautiful. Attractions easy to access.

Istanbul is beautiful. Attractions easy to access. Very clean city. Felt very safe! As a female who Loves to travel, I would feel at ease travelling here by myself. Shopping was excellent. Store staff were friendly but didn’t push to make a sale. In all it was a wonderful trip. Enjoyed the Bosporus cruise with dinner.

The Taxi drivers have a license to rip tourists off.

The Taxi drivers have a license to rip tourists off. Try and use public transport to get around if your confident. Very expensive city. People are struggling (like many other cities) to make ends meet hence why tourists tend to pay allot more on items. Try shopping in areas where Turks shop. Do your research. The Bazaars and markets in the old city are a rip off

Istanbul is a city that hums with life at every hour.

Istanbul is a city that hums with life at every hour. I loved wandering between the grand mosques—especially the Blue Mosque and Suleymaniye—and the chaotic, fragrant lanes of the Spice Bazaar. Getting around was easier than expected thanks to the metro and ferries, and every neighborhood felt like its own little world. The food was unforgettable—fresh fish by the Bosphorus, baklava that ruins you for all other desserts, and endless cups of tea. The only challenge was the traffic; crossing the city during rush hour took patience. Still, I’d happily have stayed longer—there’s always one more café, one more view, one more story.

A very lively mix of East and West with a tremendous history. A safe and friendly environment, with bustling markets and plenty of places to go to. We had thought that it might be oppressive, but certainly not. People were open hearted and took us well. We went there on a whim and don't regret it!

I stayed in two different areas of Istanbul and really enjoyed my 12 days. The city is fast paced and busy but the people are friendly and there is a lot to see if you explore the different areas. The areas around the Grand Bizzarre and the Hagia Sophia were extremely busy and intense but well worth going to see and a real experience walking through the many shops and people. Best to keep your wits about you near the street sellers especially as a female alone, be ruthless! The area between Taksim Square and Galata Kulesi was full of shops and dining options and a great area walking and exploring but my favourite area was Nisantasi. It feels more relaxed in comparison and overall very stylish and interesting. There is a large park with lots of cats if you are craving a green space and lots of options to eat and drink. I will definitely go back

I liked Istanbul but you do need a guide to get the best out...

I liked Istanbul but you do need a guide to get the best out of a visit. Our guide Onur Kose was recommended by the Sultania Boutique Hotel and he was fantastic on our 5 hour walking tour. So knowledgeable and friendly to my friend and I even picking a lunch spot for us. There were queues a kilometre long at times but he knew the short cuts to get us in quickly to the major sites. My only complaint would be that Istanbul charges are so high for tourists for sights that were once free!! We declined the visit to Topkapi Palace for this reason.

The hotel exceeded our expectations, the staff were super friendly and they upgraded our room to a suite! The suite was very spacious and clean, and the location was really good and close to Taksim square, to the metro station, to many restaurants and shopping airport and it also has the Havaist station close to the main gate, so it's very convenient to go and back from the airport. Myself and a friend wanted somewhere to stay while we explored the tourist spots of Istanbul for a few days. The hotel was great for us, with clean comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The location was great. Close to the shops and cafes around Galata Tower but still quiet at night. A few minutes from the ferry terminal and not too far to walk to Sultanahmet or Taksim Square.
