Lots of cute little streets and lane ways full of restaurants and souvenir shops. The streets are narrow so be vigilant to traffic and motor bikes. Streets are also relatively clean. Stone Town was adorable, easy, and fun to walk around! There were lots of good restaurants, shops to poke your head into, hotels with rooftop bars, and interesting history and architecture. Stonetown could be very crowded and you will have the locals...
Stonetown could be very crowded and you will have the locals trying to sell things, to be your guide, to take you on tours but apart of all this hassle is a really nece and safe place to visit. You will be in contact with locals, with their culture and you will be able to bargain the prices. We went to Lukmaan restaurant, is a buffet you eat very well and is cheap. You can choose between octopus, fish, meat, rice, vegetables etc everything that you can imagine. For the bar I will suggest Tatu, is a bar with 3 floors with a really nice view to the sea and the beers was cheap 5000tz and is near sunset bar African house hotel you can't miss it.Guest review byBrunaUnited Kingdom
