Very nice house in a gated development. Gardens were very pretty. 2 minutes walk from the beach accessed by a back gate. House is big, walking to the bedroom was a short hike! Situated to the north of the town, but the beach front was easily walkable (15m). Plenty of restaurants near, but check on opening times esp Mon & Tues. Notable ones were Lulas, The Beachhouse restaurant and, for a great atmosphere, Yzer Bru. One feature which was missing from the Booking.com description was the large brick built braai (BBQ) by the pool. Also don't be worried if you put out the wheelie bin on collection day and it disappears. They are all collected at the entrance, emptied, washed and returned later in the day.

The place has changed dramatically over the years and not necessarily in a good way. The new houses are all massive and it is very overpopulated. The beach was a big disappointment due to the severe mass of debris, like plastic etc. that washed up from the ocean.

Great to visit Yzerfontein.

Great to visit Yzerfontein. Had a good morning on the beach, walking about the town and going to the harbour. Enjoyed swimming in the icy ocean. Could have had an extra day to visit some of the restaurants and stores. We stayed a few kms out of town, but next time will look to stay on the beachfront or nearby.

had the best time at De Vuurtoren. The place looked even better in person than in the photos. The decor was beautiful, calm, and inviting, and you can tell how much love went into setting up every detail. Everything was spotless and well maintained, which made the stay feel easy and comfortable. The owner was lovely. She was kind, warm, and went out of her way to make me feel welcome. You don’t often meet people who care that much about their guests, and her energy made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the location was perfect for a quiet getaway. Mornings were filled with light and fresh air, and the evenings felt calm and homely. The bed was comfortable, the space was relaxing, and everything worked perfectly. I didn’t want to leave when it was time to check out. It’s one of those places that stays with you long after you’ve left. I’d recommend De Vuurtoren to anyone visiting Yzerfontein, it’s a place you’ll want to come back to.

Great views of beaches and sea.

Great views of beaches and sea. Great location for seeing several really beautiful sites with abundance of colourful nature. Hardly anyone else at each great site we visited. NB be prepared to park off road and walk. Weather was great for walks.

I recently visited Yzerfontein, and what a lovely surprise it turned out to be, The town has such a peaceful charm, and the locals were genuinely warm and welcoming. Strolling along the long, quiet beach or grabbing a coffee at a crazy cafe, there's a sense of calm and friendliness everywhere. A hidden gem by the sea - Yzerfontein

The whole bosveld atmosphere, the braai areas at each tent, the sea view, exceptional clean bathrooms. The tents are also fully equipped, and there's a wash up area at the braai area. I loved that it's pet friendly, and there's lots of space for children to play or ride around with bicycles. I will definitely stay there again. It's not far from Yzerfontein beach, restaurants and farm stalls
