The hotel nestled among trees over looking the lagoon. Our room was at the end and was so beautifully built. Everything including the floor was in wood and looks like a mahogany. Inside is a spacious room with double bed, an area to work if you want to, who does? But it haa an indoor jacuzzi overlooking a gorgeous view of the lagoon. All open with glass windows and doors. An absolute gem.

I could not have asked for a better weekend than the one I had at the Aviva Hotel. Nelson, Adam, and the rest of the team made me feel welcomed, well-fed, and safe the entire time. They were able to help coordinate essentially all of my travel in Guatemala, between private shuttles to and from the lake as well as early morning boat rides, which was a major plus with what had been a last-minute trip. The view of the lake is spectacular and I would highly recommend the double room if it is available. The hotel is brand new and very modern, which offers a nice contrast to the surrounding nature. The rooms are well-insulated and do a good job keeping the bugs out - along with having nice amenities. Mine even had a fireplace which was a nice touch to a rainy evening one night. On top of everything, I would be remiss not to mention the pool or the breakfast, which were huge selling points to me as well.
I highly, highly recommend the Aviva Hotel - made such a difference for my trip and well worth it!

The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, very peaceful and comfortable accommodation on the river. Very clean and well maintained amenities. This was the last leg of our trip before heading to the airport, a bit more expensive than some of the other options available but definitely worth it after backpacking around. Also the food and service was really awesome. Very happy we chose to stay here.
