Equally wonderful excursions can be found along the border at the ruins of ancient Penjikent and the surrounding Fann Mountains. Tracing the Pyan River south from Khorog, the Wakhan Corridor is sprinkled with picturesque villages, ancient shrines and crumbling castle ruins. The corridor runs right up to the border so it’s possible to cross into Afghanistan and explore the Wakhan from the other side. Everything was great, especially our suite had all the kitchen facilities. The room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Mr. Bakhtavar was very helpful on the day of arrival. If we travel to Dushanbe again, we will stay at this hotel.
