Taito, Tokyo
Opened in June 2013, The Edo Sakura offers accommodation in a Japanese-style Machiya townhouse located a 5-minute walk from Iriya Subway Station and a 10-minute walk from JR Uguisudani Train Station. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire property and guests can enjoy looking out into the traditional garden. Ueno Station is a 15-minute walk away. Our stay at Edo Sakura was absolutely delightful. The staff were universally warm and welcoming, fussing over our daughter and doing everything possible to make our stay pleasant. We adored our ryokan-style room, the traditional breakfast options each morning, and the on-site "onsen" for a soak after a long day. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, with plenty of room for a pair of futons, our luggage, and an area for our daughter to play. While not especially interesting, the surrounding neighbourhood has plenty of cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores. It is also a short walk from Iriya Street Station. From the location, you can also walk to Ueno Park and Asakusa.
Chiyoda, Tokyo

It features a French restaurant and stylish bars, and free WiFi is offered throughout. Its entrance is right next to the Marunouchi South Exit of Tokyo Station. We absolutely loved everything! The room was perfect, the location unbeatable, the personnel very good and the breakfast! the one in the lobby bar was the very best, but the one upstairs was also very very good and the staff was top.
Nikko
Homely rooms with mountain views, free Wi-Fi and a private bath await guests at Villa Revage, 350 metres from Nikko Botanical Garden. It is completely non-smoking, and free private parking is available on site. I love the vibe of this place. It’s very friendly. The owner clearly likes people and he is very helpful. Everything is well planned and explained. You can get hot and cold water, or buy some food from the freezer and cook it using available microwaves. There is selection of cold drinks you can buy as well. You can get a yukata and some travel items for free (ear plugs, razors etc). Room was clean and comfortable. Very nice coffee and fresh bread in the morning. I used private bath and it was a very nice experience. If you are traveling with child you will feel comfortable here as well. I would highly recommend this place to other travelers.

As many reviewers have already stated, the host Kenji-san is extremely friendly. He gave us very useful tips for sightseeing and moving around. The location was great, the railway station was within 10-min walk and all the restaurants, cafes, bus stops and Family Mart and the World Heritage site nearby. There is a great supermarket nearby the station as well. The villa had everything we needed, everything was very clean and we slept well in our beds. Teenagers liked their space ‘upstairs’.
Chiyoda, Tokyo
Opened in August 2014 after a thorough renovation, Hotel Ryumeikan Ochanomizu Honten has been offering heartfelt hospitality for more than a century. Its sophisticated guest rooms feature modern facilities and traditional Japanese aesthetics. It is conveniently located just a 1-minute walk from Shin-Ochanomizu Subway Station. The room was huge. An area for bags and shoes with wardrobe and iron etc. Then a sitting area with TV, fridge ice maker etc then a tatami area with two futon . Two types of pillows and lovely duvet. The bath room is super. Toto Ashley toilet. Twin sinks, wet area glasses off with a stone tub, shower with monsoon head, flexible head, vertical bath jets and a tap for filling cedar tubs . Perfect . Such a great little boutique hotel. Great design for such a compact space. It is very small, but everything fit, and was very comfortable. I loved it
The reception and cafe have a beautiful funky design. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Food at their cafe was very good and the compact room was very clean and cleverly designed. I will definitely stay here again! Lovely soft waffle knitt pJ's - and you can buy one to take home in their shop ! Great shower with Laura Ashley toiletries :)
Trendy, great location , lovely design and nice touch about free soda pop ( though my gf thinks better if you give ice cream😆)
Very nice and modern design hotel. Onsen was lovely at the hotel. Very good location if u want to be near Haneda airport. There is a convenience store nearby.
Great location, easy walk to Shibuya, Omatesando and Harajuku. Lovely interior design with a great cafe and very nice bar. Rooms are quite stylish with excellent views.
Room was really spacious (esp. given Japanese hotel standards), quiet and with a great double bed. Kudos on top-notch interior design, including modern turntable and eclectic choice of records. Staff was friendly and attentive. A real boutique hotel. The bar/breakfast area was also nicely designed as well and had good coffee (and coffee tonic). Somewhat “hipster“ in a positive sense — large windows łooking at the back entrance of JPX Tokyo Stock Exchange. Nice bar on ground floor specializing in sawa-based drinks.
amazing food, lovely designer interiors, perfect location
amazing boutique hotel coupled with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff to attend to all requests. Breakfasts ere sensational. location unbeatable. my wife and I are extremely fussy when it comes to quality of hotels the Grandbach design of rooms is unsurpassable from comfort to decor to relaxing quietness. our next visit to Tokyo will be back to this gorgeous hotel
Lovely place, very clean, superb design - excellent location, right next to a train station, various convenience stores, restaurants, boutiques and shops nearby, even a supermarket next door! Extremely accessible, very affordable, was always clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Very boutique with an impressive designer cafe, bar and restaurant with a great vibe. Generous bathrooms and high ceilings meant the room had a spacious feel. Clever layout. Each room has a record player as a signature quirk.
