Fantastic hotel if you want to explore Xiamen and the region. Perfectly located at the heart of the city, the Swiss Grand offers spacious rooms, a stunning view on the harbour and best of all, amazing staff who will help you get along with all that you need to accomplish when travelling China as a foreigner. The hotel is superb. Few days before check in, housekeeper Wendy emailed to ask if I am celebrating any events. I just replied casually that it’s our wedding anniversary and viola!At check in, there was a bouquet of roses n balloons in the room. V pleasant experience.

The rooms are modern, big and clean. Area is quiet, couple of minutes away from the beach. The host, Ellie, is probably the best one I have ever had. She is always there to assist you, no matter the time, no matter the inquiry. She does everything to make you feel like a local in the island. Staying in her hotel is a must if you visit Xiamen. Thank you Ellie, I will definitely stay at your place when I am back :)
